Why? It's going to fly past at some 300,000 kilometers away from Earth. I don't see any need to be "sensitive" about it.

Why would they be more sensitive of a non-issue? It is not massive, and it is doing exactly that, flying by, with no chance to hit. Life will be just ok if it doesn't end, and quite a bit better if you stop the fearmongering.

There, didn't hurt a bit.
