Absolutely Disgusting. I'm beyond words....

Scott Campbell was peacefully filming Occupy Oakland when he was shot with a projectile by the police. For no freaking reason. Seriously, unless cameras are the new guns, he did nothing wrong! It's disturbing to see the police, people who are supposed to serve and protect, attack an innocent man like this.
...
But I can't for the life of me see how it was necessary for that police officer to so blatantly abuse his power and attack a man who was merely documenting Occupy Oakland.

The evidence in this video is damning and it's complete bulls***. This police officer needs to own up to what he did.

The bastard that did that needs to be 'dealt' with.

I am shocked.

The man that got shot was doing absolutely NOTHING

The police brutality is just getting out of hand.

Also is anyone hearing the cops in the video taunting the protesters?

I think I heard

"March over this, I dare you!" or something like that

I can't wait to hear how they defends this (how any police officer could)...

... that police officer should be taken out and shot with his own "rubber" gun!

That's officer training I can believe in

I recently noticed a dichotomy. Here are two pictures.

These are US soldiers stationed in Afghanistan. Where they currently are they face frequent gunfire, RPG attacks, and roadside bombs from an entrenched and dedicated guerrilla fighting force, one that previously managed to break the world's former co-superpower.

These are police stationed in the mean streets of Minnesota, where they face such threats as drummers, unarmed 18 year olds, and sloganeering.

Remember what your parents used to tell you about wild animals? "They're more afraid of you, than you are of them?" Applies to wild pigs, too.

It might be better than blowing someones brains out.. but that does not make it right in any sense. Civil disbodediance is an integral and powerful tool in the democratic protest. People should have a right to protest peacefuly..

Nobody is innocent. There is a reason for everything. It is possible that he did not deserve it, but a 40 second video that is only from his one perspective, doesn't actually show anything at all.

Obviously, the guy who was yelling as if he was in pain, is the person whom recorded the video. Even if he actually did get shot, and if it actually did hurt, that is what he wanted.

Yeah, and notice the "extra protection" on the one cop in the middle.

The guy that was videotaping did NOTHING to deserve getting shot, I guess video taping them is not allowed anymore?

It is a 40 second video. Not once do I ever see the man that you are talking about. Due to those important details, how could I possibly be able to name one law that he broke?

Please send it to me in a PM then. I am curious of what you originally said.

They do it because they can, its sickening to think about really - I'd go to jail if I poked an officer but he could shoot me in the face with a rubber bullet, go home and do it again tomorrow.

"Nobody is innocent?"

For real?

I'm constantly bewildered by people who actually seem to get off on police brutality
