thats an excellent observation but like many people said its more for recruiting purposes, they need people to sign up to surrender their lives for the good ol u.s. of a. they have to meet their quotas and making these games so fun and exciting they hope to always meet their quota, but dont worry because when a young person gets sneaked attacked by an enemy they get to come home in a flag draped coffin and their loved ones get a little pin and a piece of paper of condolences

i hear alot of fear and paranoia about ets, i mean they might look weird but theres no evidence that they mean us harm, its like paranoid cooks feeding off of other paranoid cooks and thats pretty sad imo, the only real threat to human beings is their fellow human beings who rape, rob, and murder everyday in the very cities you live in, those are the beings you should fear and be ready to battle against because today its your neighbor being attacked and tomorrow its you or your loved one

Nope.

They're playing nothing more than a simulation. It can't make up for the lack of real-world training and conditioning to become an actual soldier.

I really don't understand why games like this are so popular nowadays. They provide hours of mindless entertainment but they promote a culture of shoot/kill/maim among young men. Perhaps this explains why some young male soldiers lack any form of empathy or logical reasoning when they're thrown into an actual conflict.

In a video game you have the ability to make rational decisions without fear, in real life im sure it would not be the same. Not to mention the physical and mental demands

I think if that's the case the ETs would rage quit the invasion of our planet due to talented campers who just spawn kill.

Best.. post.. ever.

I think the OP is making sense, being a war game player myself.

S+F for thinking out of the box

maybe we are being trained to one day shoot ourselves as the aliens entertain themselves in our demise we are already foolish enuff to do anything for money. so we will do anything they tell us if they decide to.

so maybe we are being trained to kill eachother one day

considering people spend hours on end playing these games they would not be physically fit to perform the actions in the simulations.

that and I doubt bunny hopping and tbagging downed opponents would work in real life.....

I think people have taught themselves how to camp and noobtube. That's about it. They might be good in trajectory speed and distance.

Wasn't WW1 and Vietnam a giant camp fest? Besides camping get's a bad rap:

Playing video games, and shooting at real people are hardly the same thing. Camping is not an honorable play style either. No matter how you chalk it up. It's like playing against someone in mortal kombat, and they keep pressing the same button over and over again. It's cheap.

Interesting idea, but I doubt that anyone who actually plays video games a lot would be in good shape. Let alone decently strong.

The government is probably behind this. Don't tell me it's too stupid for the government.
