San Diego Fire officials say Chinese lanterns present a fire harzard, I LoL'd

So you people, who ever you are, who set off these lanterns please stop. Not only is it a fire hazard but it may just be the cause for the many UFO YT's over the past few years. We can all agree there has been a huge increase in sightings, whether they're balloons, lanterns, or aliens

Now what we have here is video shot by a local San Diego news teams who caught something strange on camera during a live field report. Chinese lanterns is definitely the obvious choice, but have a look and decide for yourself.

Could it be they were burning lights floating?? pure genius on behalf of these reporters

Not only are they a fire hazard they are a danger to livestock. Many farm animals in the UK have died as a result of eating the wire that holds the lanterns in shape.

A chinese lantern fell from the sky in the UK and caused horrific burns to a young child a while back.
They do now sell biodegradable versions which are claimed to be safe for livestock,but the fire hazard is still present.
The danger increases if you use lanterns in windy conditions.
