This 45 year old guy is probably now going to be the basis for a new film idea, like Ed Gein, i imagine

How'd his neighbours not smell anything?

Ed Gein was the first thing that came to my mind when you posted this. This is pretty disturbing.

Whoa, that's really messed up.

The source also says this:

Moskvina, a historian and journalist described by neighbours as a 'genius', sometimes slept in a coffin or on graveyard benches, said BNO News.

Moskvina was said to have visited more than 750 cemeteries in western Russia to indulge his fantasies, although it was not clear when he had begun exhuming graves.

Police arrested Moskvina and later released him, but it was not immediately clear what charges he will face.

He is said to speak 13 languages and have a vast knowledge of history - on which he used to lecture at a local museum. Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk...

Although he is a very sick and twisted individual, we need to keep in mind he didn't actually hurt anyone (living).

The families of the corpses however do have a right to seek justice to be brought in this case, because the remains of their relatives are being desecrated in a most bizarre and unacceptable fashion.

Hell even if these bodies had no known relatives or survivors, it really is a disgrace to all peoples as the desecration of graves is a very disturbing and terrifying scenario.

They probably determined he was not a threat to any living people, and released him pending any charges being filed for this reason.

I am not sure what the laws on grave robbing are in Russia but I am fairly certain that most if not all nations have some form of law against such practices, mainly due to people digging up graves to steal jewelry or heirlooms that are typically buried with their owners.

It's a messed up world we live in folks.

Whenever stuff like this pops up in the news, I always wonder.......what drives people to do this stuff????

What goes through these people's minds when they do this stuff??? I understand the whole fantasy component of it, but you can't tell me there wasn't some small moment where this guy looked down at a corpse with a frilly dress on it and realized how bizarre his behavior might be???

People who are that lost in a fantasy world blow my mind, I do not know how they even function. Imagine the shock of this guys parents......wow.....

Good find, and no doubt it will end up being a movie soon, I'd like for it to be a documentary.

Disclaimer: Like the previous poster noted, its a mad world and that's the mental image I got from the post title. It goes right off the Manson scale.

I think it's mental illness really. I've got a family member with Schizophrenia, and it can make you do things you'd not normally do.

Not saying he is a Schizophrenic, but i wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of mental illness involved.

I hope this is made into a film, rather then having SAW 31, or another butchered remake of a classic.
