Cheney's speech

I just watched Cheney's RNC speech. I must hand it to him he is a very well spoken man. I also watched Senator Edwards speak.
Cheney did NOT speak about the agenda for our country for the next 4 years. Edwards did. He spoke about Health Care and the economy and job creations and lowering the national deficit. I was looking for more from Cheney. I wanted to hear how he and Bush were going to better our country and he never once spoke of it. I'm beginning to believe they want to instill fear into the Americans to get votes b/c all he spoke about was the war not how he was going to better the country as his opponent Edwards did.

You didn't hear this quote from Cheney?

Under this President's leadership, we will reform medical liability so the system serves patients and good doctors, not personal injury lawyers.

As opposed to Cheney making his millions off of war? Was Cheney fighting for people hurt by mistakes from doctors or what was it exactly that he was doing all that time besides creating a climate of corruption that is now being exposed?

Litigation reform may be needed to some extent but don't hold Cheney up to some lofty perch of personal sacrifice. That's something he will never know or understand.

whoever trusts this administration is severely mistaken. Many members of the administration are known neo-conservatives and have shady ties to oil companies, defence contractors, multi-nationals and the saudi and israeli governments.

Please guys don't give us 4 more years of terror from the white house. Vote Kerry/Edwards. I know they aren't perfect either but they are sure better than the Bush Administration.

Wow, that must have been when I got up to get a drink, b/c I missed it. Must not have been very important to him b/c he sure didn't spend alot of time on an agenda for America and OUR people. One sentence didn't do it for me. I wanted him to spend more time talking about health care and jobs and our economy.

You can draw conclusions and make all the false assumptions you want to, but the author of the post made a false statement and I merely pointed out where (s)he was wrong.

Changing the subject does not change the facts.
