Most of the undertones I'm picking up here are disgraceful, I hope the mods crack down on it and it's the typical crap I expect to see on the internet. This is the exact type of BS that holds the human race back.

Do any of you even have cultural experience outside that of Caucasian America?

Grow up and look past it OR get off the internet, get down to the hood and air your concerns with the people involved. You'll probably realise that prejudice rarely outlives experience.

Cowards.

So you come in here -pull the race card- grouping people together without having the balls to say whom you are talking about, and you call whoever it is you are talking to;cowards?

Ok I'll list everyone I'm referring to;

mr10k

ga-`tv-gi

N3k9Ni

cerebralassassins

For the record, members like ga-`tv-gi are grouping people together much worse than I am. With a lot more prejudice and malice than I utilised might I add.

Do you know these people?

Do any of these members or does yourself?

Do you always have to think everyone who disagrees is white?

Do I? Do I always think that? I'll be happy to have a look at some evidence where I have taken this standpoint on similar issues repeatedly enough to justify the always .

Do you think anyone who disagrees cant live in the 'hood'.?

I don't think members from that community would apply the fore-mentioned, negative undertones and statements about cutting off welfare etc.

You want a Nazi America where people cant say what they feel ?

Whilst I honestly couldn't give a toss about America, I do not want that for the sheer breach of rights it would be and nobody should endure such governing.

Your views are the end result of what you have seen, and so are theirs.

My views are from experience and a heart and mind void of prejudice.

For the record, I'm a white Australian. Half convict, hald WW2 refugee (Maltese, which makes only half of my blood caucasian and gives me a Semitic language to speak, a north African dialect of Arabic infact).

I don't want to get drawn in to a big argument here, I'm at work and have too much on, not to mention negativity and argument drains me. We all see things differently for better or worse. I often type in fits of passion. Peace, love and prosperity to all.

First if I came across as prejudice I apologize that was no the intent. I was one of 5 white kids in an all black school so I can relate. Im not trying to group or heard anyone to my beliefs of this hole occupy mess. Im sure they are alot of them that have realy good ideas about where we need to go as a species. But the ones that are leaching on stating what a small secular group wants that drowns out the message as a hole. But the occupied are splintered and thats the way they want it. They will have to take the good with the bad if they allow others to latch on and use the message to spread thier points for example The communist party and the arion nation now how am i to support a movement that will let any and all comers to spread their beef about the way things are. Like levitating a build how can anyone take it seriously

Cheers for not fuelling the fire. Text doesn't always convey the way in which people intend what they have to say to be heard and mate, trust me I agree that it is indeed an "occupy mess" and I also believe it is orchestrated by powerful, shadow figures.

I'm also guilty of speaking/typing without thorough thinking when I get a bit riled up but I will not stand by idly and allow hate and prejudice in to my matrix.

All the best to you.

Occupy the Hood? I think they should have an Occupy Payne Avenue on the East Side of St. Paul. Now that would be interesting, to say the least...

Had to use google maps to find out where Payne Avenue, St Paul is.

For those of us who have absolutely no idea where it is (I now know it is in Minneapolis
) or what the significance is can you please fill us in?

I walked up a fair portion of it using the 'street view' function and it looked like anywhere'sville...

What did I miss?

It's the "Hood", as in my definition of the Hood being a poverty stricken, crime ridden and drug infested place that maybe could use a little attention. That's all, maybe I missed the terminology of "Hood" in OP's post? These are the types of places that the Occupy Movements should address: you know, the real working class, hard to make it in this economy type thing, can't get ahead in this world; those types of things. Yeah, that about sums up Payne Avenue and a multitude of similar neighborhoods as well. Across the country.

I think the man who had come up with "Occupy The Hood" was trying to hard to relate to black americans...again there was no need to come up with something to seperate themselves from the original intent of the protest as there are numerous reasons that folks are participating..
