Look on the bright side: all of those who are out of work can join the OWS movement and eat and drink for free. Plus there's a nifty tent somewhere for them to share with another protestor. I'd say win-win!!! ;-)

NYC arrest records: Many Occupy Wall Street protesters live in luxury
Are they sure they are the 99%?

If I were that business man I would get the employees to get out there with a fanny pack and some thermoses and styrophome (sp?) cups and go in the crowds.
Texas: This mansion has five bedrooms and, from the looks of it, plenty of space for a drum circle. Its economically disadvantaged occupant was arrested while “occupying” Wall Street on October 5.
New Jersey: This quaint 3,800-square-foot manse sits on a quiet cul-de-sac, and it’s valued at nearly $500,000. The poverty-stricken Occupy Wall Street protester who lives here was arrested on October 5.
California: Just a half-hour’s drive from Berkeley, this victorian boasts 3 fireplaces, granite countertops and a wet bar. It’s a 5,000-square-foot anti-capitalist’s dream — at least for one cash-strapped Occupy Wall Street protester arrested on October 1.

You know what the difference between capitalism and communism is?
In capitalism, man exploits man, and in communism it is the other way around.

I had to add this. So since you are accusing me of being a paid lackey does that mean that you are a paid sponsor or dis-info agent of the OWS/Socialist America movement? To make those nay-sayers like me look bad?

Ask yourself this question....
In the 60's while people were protesting, marching, organizing sit ins etc etc, all in the attempts to create equal rights, did they also create an affect on others around them who were trying to get to work?
The answer is yes. Protest in the 60's created traffic issues, shut down entire blocks of businesses, shut down day to day operations of Universities and Campuses. These protest created havoc for people who were simply going on with their day to day lives and that is the point. That is how you draw attention to an issue by forcing others to deal with the issue.
How effective would the protest of the 60's have been if instead of staging a sit in in downtown Birmingham, AL they chose to stage a sit in around some farm field in rural Alabama? Have you ever heard the old saying, "Out of sight, out of mind"?

One of the things I love about this thread is how people immediately write it off because Fox News reported it.
I'm sure that those folk would be all up in arms if MSNBC reported that the Tea Party was negatively affecting business.
Them racists!
The actions and support of OWS are making themselves known.
They will be but a blip in the history books within a year.
No, it's North and South Korea, not some cutesie meaningless statement. See there for a true comparison.
