On 27th October, Canon Chancellor Giles Fraser
quits over the occupation of St Pauls by the
protestors against the London Stock Exchange next door.
On 31st October, Dean Graeme Knowles
resigns also over the protesters. Both say that
their position was "untenable".
It seems to me that both of these people want to do the right thing for their beliefs by allowing the camping and actually agreeing with many of the
inequities raised by the protesters. They are allowing a safe haven for the protesters. It also seems to me that they are under great pressure from
the UK government to kick out the protesters so as not to encourage more and larger protests in the centre of London.
This is definitely worth watching as it develops.
