Every day, when we first wake up, before reminding ourselves who we think we are and picking up the same old pattern, and the ridiculous drama of our life, there's a new opporunity presented to be really alive and really real and to engage the day's activities creatively, as a new creation.

The problem I think, if there is one, is twofold, involving hardened conceptions of time, and creativity.

To be entirely free and freely self expressed and creative, I think we need to consider the arrow of time, and reverse it, from

past -> present -> future,

to

future -> present -> past

and our creative action, from

do -> have -> be

to

be -> have -> do

In the realm or domain of all possibility (freedom to choose) that is the as yet unborn future, everything is fresh and new. Living out of that future, as the being we are choosing to be and to become, we are free to imagine new creative processes and endeavours which are not conditioned by the past, and then the creative process, beginning with a new end in mind, can be thoroughly enjoyed without attachment to outcomes, since we are no longer constrained by this notion that

If I work my ass off today, then I'll get to have _____ tomorrow, and THEN I"ll be happy, maybe.

It's time I think to change the frame of the game of life, so that it will be transformed from a rat race, into creative play, provided we are not unwilling to delay gratification and willingly tackle those things we may have been putting off facing because of the afformentioned dilemma we were in working at cross purposes with reality as it is, and ourselves as we are and are meant to be (free) wherein instant gratification serves only as a compensation for the crushing pressure of life lived in the wrong direction for the wrong purpose, and maybe even by the wrong person (who we are not)!

The flow of life is always and forever fresh and new, and creative, and it flows from the future into the past through who we are freely choosing to be in the present.

Why not start fresh and new? Today, after all, is the very first day of the rest of your life.

Thanks. Just something I learned and "grokked" along the way, but that I really need to put into practice.

And neither am I suggesting here that we turn our back on the past, and everything it can teach us, especially about what NOT to be or do, that's valuable, provided that the past is no longer permitted to condition the future, or to project the future through the forgotten present.

As a model or an allegory, if the back of our head is where our imagination lives (just for illustration), then we might imagine ourselves moving from the future through our present moment creativity (including who we are choosing to be and to become) into the past, while facing the whole of the past, except that now we're marching into it from the perspective of a creatively imagined future, that we are learning how to live out of.

If I'm right about this, that this is how the creative process works, then is it any wonder we were so stressed out and unwilling to delay gratification for a moment..?

This makes me laugh out loud! OMG, what they taught us to believe is so absurd.

The ancient greeks they knew this, and used to teach the good life based on an ideal of the best of the best in accordance with timeless, spaceless principals of truth that can be tested in the unfolding of a life and the growth of character, and they too saw themselves realigned in this way, as walking from the future into the past through the unfolding present moment of creative action.

We've got to remember these things and begin to move into the flow of life, as the real life, and in the process rediscover our true selves, as we really are.

Forgiveness also applies in this model btw, which has it's own absolutely phenomenal applications in terms of human potential and performance.

I suppose that it's a re-cognition of the past, both indivdually and collectively, which, although not discarded, is regenerated through our present moment creative action, starting with who we are being, so that in remembrance and forgiveness, where needed, the past loses it's power to project the future, thus liberating us from the conditioning and constraints of the past ie: reborn anew from a higher domain of possibility and potential. The "difficulty" or the "challenge" here involves the re-cognition of the self, not as a conglomerate of the past and what we presume to already know, including who we think ourselves to be, but as a new creation born from the domain of future possibility, which by its very nature is an unknown unknown, or something we did not know and didn't even know we didn't know.!

Therefore, the "turning", and the movement, and the accompanying regeneration of the self as a new creation creating co-creatively, must be abrupt and absolute, like a quantum leap, requiring the courage to live not from the past, but from the future, by facing the whole breadth of the past, wherein the past is known fully in the field of all knowing. From this new perspective we then recognize ourselves as standing in the "holy of holies" or in reality as it really is, wherein all is forgiven, and from that place, provided we forgive as we are forgiven and love as we are loved, and are love, then by golly we've been set free for the sake of freedom, including freedom from karmic debt and all manner of misgivings and unncessary suffering.
Our suffering resides (residED) in our present moment ACTION, first in terms of who we are being and are choosing to be as the first/last cause of what we are imagining for ourselves and others, and then as a result of our doing (action) as an outward expression of our being and imagining.

This then, is nothing short of the re-cognition and thus the full realization of the self, both as we were, and now, as we REALLY are and are becoming, in God (domain of infinite possibility).

That no one wants to do this, or finds this to be the least bit interesting, except for one person so far, is rather humorous to me, and simply shows just how entrenched the old view of time and creativity really is.

That said, there is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come!

Best Regards,

NAM

Intriguingly, what I just described in my last post is I believe, the true meaning, of Baptism.

And in sleep, each night, indeed we ARE baptised, quite literally in the regenerative energies of the Zero Point Field, and so, when we first awaken in the morning, before we re-enact all our remembered programs and accompanying "drama", it is entirely possible to start fresh and new as a new creation!

For those who refuse to take my word for it, or who may resent for some reason the idea of being "pushed" into freedom, here's another take on it from another's perspective, where I would like to draw your attention to the crux of all suffering being an ACTION in this case the generation of our personality and who we are being (based on who we think we are), from moment to moment.

I love Terrance McKenna, and I think he would agree that if we're moving in the wrong direction, as the wrong people (inauthentic), or worse still, as pre-programmed automatons without even the possibility of creativity and creative play, that it's time to wake up and become something and someONE new and reconfigure the past in the generation (re-generation) of novel forms, starting with ourselves. If what we are being and dreaming and doing isn't working, we must first recognize it, and then for the love of God and everything that is worthwhile in life, throw it away! Start something new, something fresh, novel and creative, which can be anything, just so long as it's not a continuation of the same old same old for reasons that we can no longer even remember! We must come to see and recognize just how absolutely absurd and ridiculous our primary MO has been, but we can only see it from a new perspective, from an unknown unknown, which is the domain of all knowledge, where what we "know" or think we know, or even know we don't know, comprises only but the most miniscule slice of the knowledge pie, at most!

We therefore need COURAGE, which nature loves, and HOPE, which love makes possible and reinvigorates.

We need to chart a return path home to the place where we are alive (although we were dead) and found again (although we were lost).

These are ideas for real life, not the stuff of Sunday sermons.

There surely MUST be more than two people here at ATS for whom this inspires and re-motivates, c'mon what the hell's wrong with us?!

For those who will, it's time - the rest we'll just heve to leave behind I guess..

It would seem that some things never change.

But I'm still hopeful.

What else can you do?

Just like the Baptist, I'll be the voice crying out in the wilderness, to create the space for a new possibility and for something wholly authentic to enter the scene or the frame of reference, which is you AND me.

No one can do this alone.

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

For the purpose of this thread, what i'm really interested in discovering and sharing, is what I call the "demarcation threshold point" as the point of no return from which a whole new life, as a better life, is not only imagined, but creatively generated, starting with our being, and our action first in terms of who we are choosing to be, and then what flows out of that new way of being and thinking. If discoverable, and sharable, in a way that makes sense and that anyone can utilize for their own life transformation, then that would really be something exciting, imho.

I am glad you posted this. I have been working toward this exact same goal for the past year. I just (probably the same day you posted this) got to the point where I realized that every day is the first day of the rest of my life and I should act accordingly. It has taken me a very long time to shed those burdens which have bogged me down until I finally couldn't take it anymore and decided to change.

It's one amazing feeling.

Take care.

This post helps to motivate, saying that anything bad happen for the previous day must not affect you today. Sunshine symbolizes the new chapter of life, we may not be able to change the past but we can make today and the future a better one.

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

There are two days in every week that we should not worry about, two days that should be kept free from fear and apprehension.

One is yesterday, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains. Yesterday has passed, forever beyond our control.

All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed. Nor can we erase a single word we've said - yesterday is gone!

The other day we shouldn't worry about is tomorrow, with its impossible adversaries, its burden, its hopeful promise and poor performance. Tomorrow is beyond our control.

Tomorrow's sun will rise either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds - but it will rise. And until it does, we have no stake in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.

This leaves only one day - today. Any person can fight the battles of just one day. It is only when we add the burdens of yesterday and tomorrow that we break down.

It is not the experience of today that drives people mad - it is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday, and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.

Let us, therefore, live one day at a time!
