When are you going to make an Occupy Wall Street Forum? I think the time has come. It is time to start giving this movement credibility. This movement is getting to be very important to our country (USA).

Lets be real...

You have a forum on Video Games, Dreams & Preditctions, Scott Crieghton, but not a forum for a very important revolution in our country? The Occupy movement isn't going away. They are here to stay.

Anyone who disagrees, I would like to hear your side.

What's wrong with social issues and civil unrest?

That way, when the movement mutates (as it will), there can be continuity.

Examples: What if the Tea Party starts OWS-like movements of its own, only focusing on government rather than business? Or what if OWS splinters and the "occupy" name is no longer used, but you end up with two or three more focused successor groups? What if random people start acting violent and there are riots but these people are not connected with OWS?

I think the phenomenon will widen eventually beyond the "OWS" name and ideals, one way or another. Thus its more inclusive to simply have a "civil unrest" forum. Which we already do.

I agree, jeeze how long did it take to get a 9/11 forum up here? OWS is clearly a big event and should have a dedicated place for discussion .

Unachispa I agree with you, actually I was thinking about posting the same topic as you did for a new forum on the protest, I believer they are here to stay and things will escalate enough for the topic to have its own forum.

I think they should ahve done it sooner, I figured as soon as ows and many other places were calling for occupying places i knew ATS was going to be slammed with everything.. This is also why I haven't posted anything about the OPGH things yet because it is just to much spam all over the place.

The site owners may as well tap into ACORN for some of the public's stolen charity donations if they start pandering to every flash in the pan socialist outbreak.

I see where you are coming from.

Maybe it shouldn't be called Occupy Wall St. Forum.

Maybe it should be called an American Revolution Forum, because you make a good point on the possibility of the OWS movement going in different directions.

Only time will tell.

i think it should be called the "American Uprisings" forum... that's not too general, yet not too specific in case OWS becomes something else..

Anything to organize the chaos on the boards these recent days.

I am bumping this top bring attn to the mods and see what they have to say about this..

I really think it would be a good idea to have a Occupy (Insert whatever here) forum.

What about current events?

its current, its an event, and its not like it will last forever.

Just consolidate the OWS threads in current events, if anything.
