Two years ago I was diagnosed with Vitamin D deficiency. I go outside and walk almost every day and do gardening.
And for the last five years I've noted less and less sun year by year, more cloud cover.
Possibly it's simply a climate/weather cycle change and nothing more.
Or possibly something different, who knows?
We've lived in this area for almost 40 years. While it's not "the sun capital of the world" we use to have a lot more sunnier days.
I've also noted on days when the sun is out, it's hotter...............I use to spend 3 months out of the year on Pensacola Beach and now (in the midwest) my skin now actually gets red than tanned almost twice as fast living in the midwest than when I was a Pensacola Beach Bum.
So, I don't know what's going on.
