The world always manages to kill the peace makers... Though this man's message was recorded in song before he was murdered.

Please listen to the words of this song...

Let those words touch your heart...

Truth Love and Peace

Be Love my friends

Sounds great either way...

I posted it for the message not the music...

I'll probably be the only one in this thread who genuinely hates this song, the guy who wrote it and the band he used to be in. Personal opinion but overrated is the word that comes to mind.

Sorry to anyone who enjoys Lennon.

I couldn't care less what you think of the song...

I asked anyone who reads this thread to listen to the words...

Look past the music you dislike and hear the message that is there

It would be ironic to have an argument over which version of Imagine is the best...

One of my favorite song of all times!
He described the most perfect of world that we could imagine, all right!

I love the lyrics, and may I dare say, thank Yoko for telling John at one time there was more in life than holding hands... don't worry, I've nothing against holding hands.

Peace and Love to you too!

Lennon's version is the best, BTW...

They do always kill the good guys...

I think Hicks says it best here.

Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they've begun to question, 'Is this real, or is this just a ride?', and other people have remembered, and they've come back to us and they say 'Hey, don't worry. Don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride.' and we KILL THOSE PEOPLE.

"Shut him up! We have alot invested in this ride! SHUT HIM UP! Look at my furrows of worry. Look at my big bank account, and my family. This just has to be real."

It's just a ride.

But we always kill those good guys who try and tell us that. You ever noticed that? And let the demons run amok. But it doesn't matter, because ... It's just a ride.

Also this is the clip that shows Lennon's, Gandhi's and MLK's image.

More apt.

You do know that Lennon wrote this song after he had read the Communist Manifesto, don't you?

Lennon said this song is "virtually the Communist Manifesto."

Song Facts

It is also Bill Clinton favorite song. Go figure.
