PLEASE tell me this is only the Moon and not something else!

Jesus #!!! It's the god damn sun. I'm so sick of this #.
When it the sun rises you can see the lens flare start. If the sun had not been blacked out it likely would have reuined the video quality.

Venus doesn't look that big. Not even close to that big. It's a lens flare. If there was a solid object there, it couldn't be lit like that.

Venus was recently passing between the Earth and the Sun during a sunrise and/or sunset depending on where you live. However, the object on these shots is too big to be Venus.

Can you please post the timestamps below each photo to tell what time goes with which photo and your source?

Lens flare. The world is not going to end anytime soon i can promise you that.

The guy is hilarious.

Jupiter should be moving well away and far ahead of the moon right now. HIP 66115 hiding behind the glare of the sun, Saturn's a good way to the right of the sun while Venus and Mercury are having a cosy up way to the left.
But I suppose none of this matters since I haven't paid attention to when that vid was taken.

If it was a planet or moon why would the side of it that faces the sun be in darkness?

Surley that side of it would be completely lit up, think about it.

please don't take this the wrong way, but why would you care if there was a giant planet, or asteroid that was going to crash into earth and kill everyone? Knowing about it before hand would just make you have panic attacks and cause much undue stress. If it's our time to go, we will go. It's not like we have a choice. Live your life the best you can, be nice to others, have as much fun as you can and live with no regrets. When you die, you die. Depending on what you believe will happen after that is your possible next step of the journey. Relax.

It looks just like the moon, i only say this because its too round to be anything else.

If we're talking about the black dot in front of the sun....

Looks like camera software blocking out the sun as with a thin atmosphere it's quite blinding, considering the snow glare.

If we're talking anything else, I dunno, that's the only thing I could see anyone being confused by

Fine.. It's not a lens flare.. Lets just choose "photo anomaly" instead.

Whatever you want to call it, it is definitely NOT some new giant object in the sky.

(why did I even reply to this thread in the first place?)

Jupiter is just a small dot of light in the sky. That thing looks HUGE.

Its sirius A i hear it would be rising above the sun for 60 seconds before the sun covers it up it signifies the start of the end of days. ( not fear mongering, when i say the end of days its the end of THESE DAYS we know, time for a new start !!)

No, the moon is incredibly easy to see at this time of year, even around 9-11am in the morning.

i have seen something like this before. i dont remember where but i saw the same thing. there is a 65% chance it is the moon. but you never know. i cant really explain it either but i would like to think it is something amazing

re: Ursu Adam's video from the 19th I'm pretty sure what he's seeing are Mercury and Venus following the sun - and the constellation Corvus preceeding it.
