I find feet to be fanscinating. Sometimes we forget that we have feet. What I mean by that is there are times when they are covered by footwear such as shoes for long periods of time.

There was a period of a couple months where I would put on shoes at the beginning of the day and wear them all day. One day I decided I wanted to wear slippers instead, and I took a serious look down at my feet and realized how weird they looked without shoes on. I am sure some of you have had this happen to you as well.
Footwear definitely has its time and place, but sometimes we have to remember feet themselves are capable of many tasks.

Today I was cleaning my bathroom, and the floor was wet from cleaning materials. I needed to dry this off with paper towels, but did not feel like using my hands. So I pondered for a second and decided I could use my foot to manuever the paper towels. It worked like a charm and then I grasped the paper towels with my foot and proceeded to put it into the toilet bowl, then used my foot to flush. It was amazingly empowering for my feet.

Feet are very functional. We can take a look at several species and see how much they use their feet. Bats cling to cave ceilings and such, and some simians use their feet very dextrously to climb trees and grasp branches.

So to conclude, I feel feet deserve more credit, because they do a lot for us everyday.

This reminds me of a friend I have from Japan. She can do a self portrait of herself using pencils and her feet that would put any hand using artist to shame!

She said when she was younger that she and her sister would practice picking things up with their feet using chopsticks. I guess this is how she got her talent!

We get alot of foot and other problems from wearing shoes or boots all day.Its almost like having a cast on, your muscles atrophy.I practise reflexology and all points on your foot refer to inner organs. So walking around in your bare feet massages all those points and strengths your muscles. There is also a chakra on the bottom of your feet all helps to ground you and help with health. When I use to work in construction, wearing safety boots all the time I could see my arches fall. A weekend walking about in my bare feet my arches goes up a bit then it was back in the boots again. There is a old expression you die from the feet up .looking at a persons feet you can tell how healthy they are

I totally agree. I simply feel better when I am barefoot. Walking tactiley barefoot feels amazing. You can definitely tell how different your foot hits the ground while wearing shoes.

I think it is strange when people wear shoes inside of their houses and such. In many cultures, it is required to take off your footwear before entering a residence.
