And Zorgon has returned, in style, and controversy.

It seems odd indeed to "pledge the national anthem", or recite it for, what purpose? Mexico is a terribly corrupt feudal state masquerading as a modern nation in the 21st century. Sure, its a class on what? Mexico, hispanic culture, Spain, what exactly? Spanish class? What the hell is the point in such idiot-political correctness crap anyway? The drug cartels rule the nation (Mexico) top-to-bottom. I wouldn't go there for the simple reason I as a visitor would not be allowed to bring the small army (very good, and not yahoo's by the way) I would insist on in going into so dangerous a place as is Mexico today. And quite frankly, I wouldn't let "someone's army" however good, well trained and very good at blending into the woodwork into MY country, if I had anything to say about it.

But then again, anyone with the resources is armed to the teeth down there, and usually has to pay off SOMEONE just to, you know, keep breathing. Face it when people with means travel in places that reek with danger, and corruption as in Mexico, that corruption being the coin of the realm, I pity the people who have to put up with such s***. Speak out, and see what happens, even point out some of the most blatantly obvious, and you "disappear, or just get killed outright". Who do the drug barons fear, no one SINCE THEY RUN THE COUNTRY!

If this is a course on the Spanish language, then leave out the political bull s***, hmmm? Of course if your going to teach a course on Mexico, start by reviewing European history of the middle ages, where feudalism was very ripe. And reeked as much. Good place to start with near-ancient history to better understand whats happening in a nation to the immediate south of my boarder, NOW.

I don't see what is so wrong with this? It's part of the Mexican culture and probably helped teach them some good vocabulary. =/ ???

It is the white people who are complaining about this and making a big deal. It shows how racist they are. There is nothing wrong with kids learning about other culture, only racist conservative whites have that problem and only what their white culture taught.

What culture, American does not even have a culture anymore, it is all about being a consumer and buying stuff. You are more likely white who have a problem with other cultures, since whites seem to have no culture and just steal other cultures. This so call American culture is just white culture. You just sound like another white racist who is against learning about other cultures. I am a Mexican American and sick of whites trying to destroy my culture. People should be allowed to have their own culture and learn about other cultures, since white American culture is not really a culture, it is about consumerism.

WOW!!! You just called someone a racist while at the same time spouting some ignorant horribly racist things!

Amazing. Anyway, I think you have this all wrong. People aren't saying anything anti-mexican I don't think. The problem they are having is saying the pledge of another country. The thing that they aren't realizing though is that these children weren't MADE to pledge their allegiance to a foreign country( which would be a problem) they are simply CHOOSING to learn about another culture.
