Many of those creatures in that video were "Pets." This has been a fad for Centuries in Asia.

Particularly Japan. They pay top dollar for the wierdest species you can think of.

Sometimes they eat them on special occasions. A real delicacy.

Others eat them on a weekly basis, as they are part of the staple diet. Adds crunchiness to the rice.

As well as protein/flavor. Yum Yum Wash it down with Sake, and bounce all night.

well kinda I used to raise thorny leaf insects(freakin amazing magical creatures that they are) I have a life long passion for anything that walks crawls or swims or flies! I used to hang out with people who raised weird bugs LOVE the Flower Mantises ! It's fascinating to watch the life cycles and habits of invertebrates.

While I wouldn't have any of them as pets myself, they did look cool!
Well, except the spiders.
Especially the one with the babies on it's back. *shudder*.

Haha no Problem, and tbh the spider with the babys made me shudder too lol, imagine waking up to that in your bed lol
