Why Christianity is 100 percent anti-freedom and pro-tyranny

If you are a true loyal Christian, according to the Bible, then you are 100 percent pro-tyranny and anti-freedom. This is easily provable from the Bible itself. Face it. What you Christians are in denial about, is that clearly, the God depicted in your Bible is an evil tyrant who kills anyone who disobeys him, often for trivial reasons, and places ZERO value on freedom, freethought and rationality. His law demands 100 percent obedience and subservience, threatening death and damnation as a consequence for even one noncompliance, which is insane. That is crystal clear. NOTHING in the Bible supports human freedom, free choice, or independence at all! Period.

What this means is that you cannot be a devout Christian and believe in freedom or free choice at the same time. And if you do, then you are a hypocrite. Your religious doctrines and Bible clearly declare that anything less than complete obedience and subservience to God's will is sin and deserves nothing less than death and damnation, according to God's law. To do what you want rather than submit to God's will is seen as rebellion and sin against God. The Bible is clear on this. What this means that by being a Christian, you stand for ABSOLUTE TYRANNY, the murder of anyone who disobeys, and are totally AGAINST freedom, free choice, independence, freethinking and reason. You can deny that all you want, but the fact is the fact.

Throughout the Bible, one simple message is consistent: OBEY GOD OR DIE! And in the New Testament, this has been modified as: Believe or be eternally damned! There are plenty of examples in the Bible where God killed people for simple disobedience, often for trivial reasons. For example, when Lot's wife looked back at Sodom and Gomorrah burning, disobeying God, she instantly turned to salt (Genesis 19). Now really, is looking at something really worth the death penalty? Well not really, but brainwashed Christians believe that God is 100 percent just and perfect (simply because they were told so), and therefore anything he does must be completely right. It's obvious circular reasoning. And in 2 Kings 2:23-24, God sent out bears to kill 42 children after they made fun of one of his prophets.

Sometimes, God even kills innocent people to their leaders in the Bible. For example, in Exodus 12, he sent an angel to kill the firstborn children of Egypt, just to punish the Pharaoh. And in 1 Chronicles 21:14, God kills 70,000 people just to punish King David. Now, is killing innocent children and people for the disobedience of their leader a moral thing to do? I don't think so. But again, brainwashed Christians believe that God is 100 percent just and perfect (with no valid basis) and so will claim that whatever he does must be right. Again, complete circular reasoning. No one who does such things would be considered a decent person in the real world, but a monster. Yet a God who is claimed to be 100 percent perfect, good and just does such things?! WTF? Christians, seriously, how is your God any different than Hitler? Your God has killed far more people than Hitler has, according to your own Bible. He even wiped out a whole world full of people during the Flood of Noah (if you believe it that is). Have a look here at the tally sheet of the number of people God killed, according to the Bible: www.debunkingskeptics.com...

Now, if your God is worse than Hitler, then how could you think he is 100 percent flawless, just, righteous, and good?! Are you out of your mind?! Are you completely insane?! This just goes to show how badly your mind has been hijacked to believe whatever you are told, and how your reason has been completely shut off. Basically, you believe this insanity because you were TOLD to, which makes you really gullible and naive. As Atheists say, you don't have to be intelligent to be a Christian. Obviously, that's true.

Anyway, the bottom line is that by worshipping a 100 percent tyrannical deity who kills and damns anyone who exercises freedom and disobeys him, it means that you yourself stand for absolute tyranny, the murder of those who do not follow your faith, and are totally anti-freedom, anti-free choice, anti-independence, and anti-freethinking. Furthermore, the fact that you deem such a deity to be 100 percent flawless and perfect, reveals your insanity and the degree to which you've been utterly brainwashed to the extreme.

Ask yourself this: If you went into a typical Christian Bible-believing church and told the minister, "I am a born again Christian who loves Jesus, but I don't agree with everything God says in the Bible, nor do I think his actions were always right." do you think he would say, "That's ok. You don't have to agree with God on everything. Just love him and love others. That's all he wants you to do." HELL NO! The minister would give you a lecture and tell you that YOU ARE WRONG, because God is the definition of morality and whatever he does must be right, just and perfect, and that you have no right to question him because you are just a mere creation while he is the creator, blah blah blah.

All copouts again, of course, but you get the idea. To truly follow Christian teaching, you are NOT allowed to think for yourself, disagree with anything in the Bible, or have any dissenting opinion. Your opinions are worthless, according to Christianity, and you are WRONG if you don't agree with everything in the Bible and with the tenets of Christian teaching. This just goes to show exactly what I've said, that Christianity is completely anti-freethought and all about obedience, fear, tyranny and punishment. It's not something I would want to be a part of, and fortunately, I don't have to be, because there is no logical reason to believe that its extreme teachings are true, nevermind infallible.

Remember that just because someone or some book tells you something, doesn't mean it's true. See my other essay here for an elaboration on this: www.debunkingskeptics.com...

You Christian denialists ought to look up the teachings of forbidden religions such as Gnosticism, which place God and Satan in opposite but more sensible roles based on their actions. (See here for an overview: www.theforbiddenreligion.com...) As an example, right from the start in Genesis, when Adam and Eve ate the fruit off the Tree of Life, they did not die, but their eyes were opened, knowing both good and evil, just as the Serpent said. What this means is that God's warning that they would "surely die" by eating the fruit off that tree was a lie, while Satan's prediction was true. So how could Satan, the epitome of evil, tell the truth, while God, the epitome of goodness, truth and perfection, tell a lie?! I know you have cop outs for this, but again, you are denying the obvious. The truth is often the opposite of what we are taught.

(continued from above)

Also, remember that there are other versions of God (or Gods) too, that don't require him to be 100 percent flawless and perfect. The Greek Gods, for example, had all the positive qualities and negative vices that humans have. And the deities in Hinduism has a mixture of good and bad traits too. The concept that God is perfect is a Judeo-Christian and Muslim creation. No one has to be perfect, not even a God. Whatever the case, the evidence suggests that we make God in OUR own image, not the other way around. That's why we project our flawed traits and egos onto him, when a perfect being shouldn't be like that.

The lesson we can learn from that is that we need to look within ourselves, for that's where the answers lie. Religion is like fast food theology. But truth is not like fast food. You cannot get truth from a convenient package or book. It requires a lifelong process of searching, going through layers and layers - for once you discover a glimpse of a certain truth, there are more layers beyond it.

The choice is yours - You either think for yourself, or let someone else do the thinking for you.

You forgot the only passage that matters. Though I am a Christian, I fully believe that the Bible was written by most of the people Jesus was indeed fighting against. What better way to destroy Him than to lie and pervert all His ways? Paul was a Roman spy

Romans 13:1-7

New International Version (NIV)

Romans 13
Submission to Governing Authorities
1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

By your post you group all believers in God as Christians. The bible is not 100% accurate. Those who develop a personal relationship with God and not an indirect relationship through a pastor will begin to see the real truth.

Christianity is like the fundamentals of developing that relationship. It's like the spiritual milk, many move past it and get the meat and potatoes, so to speak.

I do not believe in god but I was raised a christian baptist and went to church when I was a kid and as a teen mostly because they had things for us to do together and we got to hang out with friends...

I can tell you that this is 100% dependent on where you are and what church you go to... The church I went to was not the first and my grandparents were Methodists for a long time and decided to change to a different church after checking out a few because the Methodist church was pretty much exactly as you described and on top of that everyone there was 2 faced and gossiped about one another, as well as being hypocrites doing and saying one thing in church and living a completely different life outside the church...

Now with this baptist church that we decided on they did not care what you wear to church, how much money you have, who you are in the community, what your past was as long as you come to church and try to be a good person.

I once talked to the pastor and told him that I do not believe that all of the bible is real and that I did not even know if there really was a god.

His answer to me was this: The bible was written by men and men are not perfect. The bible was written as a sort of guide with stories that have meaning and lessons that should be learned, god/jesus did not write the bible and you cannot take the bible literally. If you take anything away from reading the bible or from the church whether you believe in god or not always follow the golden rule, do unto others as you wish they do unto you.

My pastor would never try to push any view or negativity onto anyone that is not what Christianity is suppose to be about, often times people take things to seriously and to far and its like with with everything not just religion.

You have to remember also the bible has been transcribed many times over there is no telling what the actually original bible said or meant really. We do not know if most of the things said are real or stories that are meant to help us who really knows...

With that said I do 100% believe that no person should fully believe in something like the bible just because its there and people say to believe it.

People have used the bible and religion over the years to make war and kill in the name of god and that is not what religion is about it has been twisted by man like everything else... Man is not pure and we have evil inside us, it is up to us to choose to fight that evil and be good. We are only animals after all.

We should be living our lives to help one another so what we can all prosper and live in peace together as humans.

Hello, OP. Well done. It takes stones to stand up and speak on such a divisive subject, considering that the sheep you're talking about can be easily spooked, and tend to stampede at any given time. I agree with you completely.

John 3:13-18. Words from God Himself. - "No one has ever gone up into the presence of God except the One who came down from that Presence, the Son of Man. In the same way that Moses lifted the serpent in the desert so people could have something to see and then believe, it is necessary for the Son of man to be lifted up - and everyone who looks up to him, trusting and expectant, will gain a real life, eternal life.".
"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by beliving in him, anyone can have a while and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. Any why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him."

Your first two paragraphs are just a bunch of personal insults, fluff - nothing of substance to be taken with valid weight in discussion. Re read it for yourself and honestly say if it isnt - unbased claims with no evidence. Or atleast, wild assumptions off of an ignorant understanding. I'm still getting from there myself man - and I have the same tendancy in arguements to get that way. That being said -

I dont understand why exactly it happened to Lot's wife. But from what I see with God and his judgements in the ones that I have understood - He is just completely, and kind and loving and merciful. I trust He is just in those also.

I disagree though, Lot's wife doesnt point towards "OBEY GOD OR DEATH!!". I think one big theme to be noticed is in Romans. Which gives insight and understanding into OT scripture.

Romans 3:9-20

"So where does that put us? Do we Jews get a better break than the others? Not really. Basically, all of us, whether insiders or outsiders, start out in identical conditions, which is to say that we all start out as sinners. Scripture leaves no doubt about it.

There's nobody living right, not even one,
nobody who knows the score, nobody alert for God.
They've all taken the wrong turn,
They've all wandered down blind alleys.
No one's living right,
I can't find a single one.
Their throats are gaping graves,
their tongues slick as mudslides
Every word they speak is tinged with poison
They open their mouths and pollute the air.
They race for the honor of sinner-of-the-year
litter the land with heartbreak and ruin,
Don't know the first thing about living with outhers.
They never give God the time of day.

This makes it clear, doesn't it, that whatever is written in these Scriptures is not what God says about others but to us to whom these Scriptures were addressed in the first place! And it's clear enough, isn't it, that we're sinners, every one of us, in the same sinking boat with everybody else? Out involvement with God's revelation doesn't put us right with God. What it does is force us to face our complicity in everyone else's sin."

-

Read for yourself, it goes in depth to show the pattern - OT points towards Jesus also. The Law doesn't help us live more righteously, it shows us how filthy we are, and we are not justified by our actions with the Law, but we are justified by accepting and responding to what God has done for us. First shown through Abraham, in that he had faith and trusted God and it was counted to him as righteousness. Justified through faith - not because of something he had done, but because he accepted and entered into what God was doing.

That to me sounds like pro-freedom....

And I'm just saying, you talk about how God was unjust for killing the first born babies in Egypt except for those with the lamb's blood over their door. You remember that story right? God's people were slaves to Egypt. Moses was sent to free the Israelites. You remember Moses went to him numerous times, right? First time Moses brought his staff which turned into snake, back into staff. Numerous plagues to show God was behind it - and every time Pharaoh refused. Pharaoh only decided to let God's people go after his son had died. And even then, after a time, he chased after them regretting his decision.

That being said, why doesn't God have the right? Pharaoh sadly paid a price for his heard heart and turning against God. Just saying, God came into this world to reveal the light, and set things right, as mentioned before - and God sent his first born son into this world - completely innocent - God himself, and we killed Him, and he willingly laid his life down and gave and used it to pay for us, and to set us right with Him. I don't understand it, but through faith in what He's shown me, I know its truth and it works.

The New Testament, which is the testament of Christ, is solely about love. Love is boundless and at the center of all that is human, neither anti-freedom or pro-tyranny.

I would disagree with this...

Many Christian sects teach idolization of Jesus... And even go so far as to call him God...

Jesus did not teach these things, though he did teach love

k. how about no.....

numerous references as towards the deity of Jesus Christ. prophecies numerous times of his crucifixion. filled different prophecies, as well as those around him - one for example John the baptist. John the baptist is thunder in the desert as quoted by Isaiah. John saw scripture fulfilled when he saw the Holy Spirit descend upon Jesus like a dove from heaven. Jesus healed sins. Jesus said if you do not recognize Him, then you do not recognize the Father, because they are one in the same. If God is speaking to you, its Jesus Christ whom is that God, the only God there is, that makes it possible.

As well as to the individual stating how the bible is rendered obsolete because of numerous translations - no. No. You can go and buy a bible today, called "The message" where it is a bible, a pastor with a team of other people directly translated the bible from hebrew and greek into english, and into the context and speech of which is the same today. Apostles weren't some fancy-dancy grammar nazis, they spoke just like you and me. But the bible is probably the most reliable book in history ever written. There's another thread on here talking about it with many many points and sources and evidence. Many other great philosophical books and such weren't discovered until 500-2200 years after the author was dead, and many less translations have been found. Comparably, the bible is way more backed, and has copies backed up that all agree with eachother - i mean the Jewish faith is basically the OT. Christianity is the new covenant God made through Jesus.

there is so much fervor in the OP... my inference is that you have been hurt spiritually. i feel like you have once had faith in Christ... but something terribly wrong happened, you felt abandoned and that event changed your faith into fiery hatred. just a speculation, extracted from the information you provide; please correct me if i am wrong.

1 Corinthians 2:16
For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.

my explanation, because i do not know the mind of our Father, on free will: we do posses free will; Eve biting into the fruit of knowledge and tempting Adam to join, Jonah trying to flee from God, etc etc. God gave us free will, but He is also omniscient, MEANING, that he knows all the possible outcomes from the decisions we make BEFORE we even think about it!

God is our father and knows you and I better than we know ourselves... He shows perfect love, we reciprocate with imperfect love, and yet He is ready to forgive at any point, as long as we are sincere in repentance.

no the simple minded people project their own flawed traits onto God and his image. God's image was told before to us whilst we were kids and before we got a chance to project our flawed traits unto him.

Our innocence was projected onto God's image if anything.

Freewill is the ultimate freedom and that is the only freedom God will ever give you!

Oh the freedom your talking about is the freedom of being able to do things that would be considered sin without receiving a penalty yeah?

drinking till you puke
un-marital fornication
Cussing
Not Respecting your parents authority over you
Not treating other people as an equal
Making fun of people less fortunate than you
being a floozy
taking drugs

The list can go on and on just use your head, its written down how it is and these things are actually sin because they harm your body.

EXAMPLES
- drinking till you puke
www.drinkaware.co.uk...
mrhealthtips.com...
mrhealthtips.com...

It is not permitted because it can cause death - My uncle died because of alcohol abuse, don't ask for pictures you sick F***

Un-marital fornication
- STD's
- HIV
- AIDs

Cussing
- no respect for others
- uncouthness
- influence younger generations to speak with a foul tongue

No respect for parents authority
- no true understanding of discipline and how discipline kids (your children, in present or future)
- Children's future may be at stake

so because you cannot do any of these things without the threat of your soul not being taken in by God, you consider God anti-freedom. You are too caught up in the materialistic world.

THESE RULES HAVE BEEN CREATED FOR A BETTER CAUSE THAN YOUR CONTENT!

God's freedom to you does not include these materialistic things you so deeply crave for.

That is the manipulation of the elite, the illuminati and their effects on you. You should be craving for happiness and love. Not the next pint!

Religion is only fast food TO those who are TOO caught up in this fake materialistic world to slow down and think about it, all is in place for a reason, we are the only creatures on this planet with this freewill, do not take it for granted.

LIFE is a gift, you have to receive gifts, otherwise its not a GIFT, its just random.

Peace and May God Bless

dont listen to your pastor then as it says that all the names of the books in the bible was written by the respected names as God spoke through them.

Moses spoke to God who told him what to do.

If God is a planet then that means that chosen ones can talk to planets
if God is the sun chosen ones can talk to the sun
If God is a spiritual being then chosen ones.......you get the picture
