You fail to realize Blaire Witch project had no symbolic schemes. Yes, us who saw Blair Witch in 1999 in the movie theater it had no symbolism to it...I saw Paranormal 3 blunted and all, but the fact of the matter was that movie was sick... If you actually pay attention to paranormal 3 it had a lot of sexual innuendos, not including the Illuminati symbols...

P.S. Why is it whenever I type illuminati in lower case it corrects me to typing it as Illuminati?...Just saying...Pointing out the obvious.. Are they really that important that the "I" has to be capitalized ?!....

Care to point out what the innuendos and evil Satanic symbols are cause I haven't seen the first one all the way through, haven't seen the second and already read what happens in the third and I'm just curious as to what kind of demonic symbolism and sigils are present as that's what I thought of when you mentioned symbolism.

Scariest part was seeing a girl in the line covered in tattoos. Tattoo on her hand was a triangle with a circle in it, the number 23 at the bottom and butterfly antenna coming out of the top.
Then in the movie they show this symbol a number of times.

That was the stand out triangle that they made a point in showing.. several others popped up as well but i dont remember as clearly.

In the blur between the faux cinéma vérité and shakey cam we, from the vantage of the hapless cinematographer and stepfather Dennis, find ourselves looking for the missing wife and step kids amidst a flurry of things that go bump in the night. There, on the all where the cute and cuddly unicorn once rested is a modified Magical Triangle of Solomon followed by a quick camera pan to the infamous Sigil of Baphomet on the opposite wall.

the Magical Triangle comes out of a tradition of King Solomon, the wise king and one third Master Architect behind the construction of the great Temple constructed in his name to house the ark of the covenant.

from freemasoninformation.com

im getting some screen shots of the triangles in the movie will post soon

The thing I'm not liking is when a new part of the franchise is released every year. Kinda rips the soul out of it. The first Saw movie was awesome, everything after that was horrible and seemed to be "screw plot, lets think of nasty ways to kill people off" while they milked a franchise out of it. I'm worried Paranormal Activity will end the same way.

It's not like they are making a new one every year just for money. Though I am sure that is the main motive. They are actually telling a story and the story would seem to have come full circle with 3. And the whole point of the saw series was clever killing I really didn't know there was even a semblance of a plot in any of them. It really wouldn't matter if there was new characters in every one.

PA however wouldn't have done nearly as well if it hadn't developed it's characters and made them likable. I didn't like 2 as much as 1 or 3 I think that is because I didn't like whats-his-face the husband guy. Saw is just some BS that comes out every year to eat popcorn to. Whereas PA while still being a good popcorn flick actually carried out it's storyline really well in my opinion They actually had a reason for 3 movies where movies like saw just do it purely for more money.

I think that's the thing though, Saw was pretty unique in a way and then because it was a surprise success, it suddenly had a new chapter released every year and watered it down into just inventive deaths while expanding the plot of the Jigsaw Killer in pretty ludicrous ways.

Sure, he turned into a sympathetic character but it just got so convoluted.

Now like I said, haven't seen any PA movie except for the last 5 minutes of the first one so can't really say for sure but to me it seems like they might be milking it a bit. Who knows, maybe someone in Hollywood will refuse to make more of them and the series will be preserved and not go the route of Saw, Nightmare On Elm Street and others where they had sequel after sequel for the hell of it? Hope that's the case.

I've wanted to see the second one since I found out the main character is played by Sprague Grayden and I thought she was hot and talented as the President's daughter in 24 but until I see the first all the way through, gonna have to leave it.

I don't understand why you would even comment on it then. Because it would be really hard for you to know that the series has been a bread and butter beginning, middle and end story played backwards. Instead of just interchangeable garbage like the other movies you mentioned.

Every one of the movies hinted at something happening before that lead to the events of the present. With the latest one the story has been almost totally tied up.

They probably wont do another one since it would be hard canon-wise and going much further back in time would end up with the movie being shot in super 8.

So no they aren't milking it any more than hollywood usually does. It is also a much different movie than the mindless torture porn you mentioned. You might know that if you were the kind of person who actually watches movies before immediately claiming to know what they are all about.
