I have to say, What? that's not what I learned in school.
America was founded because of the oppressive overreach of a Monarchy with little or nothing in return.
The American government was structured for the public to have individual rights, liberty, and freedom, with very little oversight from the government, in fact the Government was to serve the public as the Public sees fit.
Now with all that said, We are facing a time where our rights and freedoms are being stripped away by the lobbying of Corporate Special interests, Political Agendas, and Greed, all in the name of "the greater good"; and the laws and regulations that have come out from the a fore mentioned groups, has tried to stifle our Basic Rights outlined in our Constitution. The Movement as it stands look good on the outside, but, from my perspective, the inner agenda of OWS is nothing more than aggrandized socialism; I call it the Give Me Syndrome.
If we, as Americans, just realize we have the power to turn back the Tyranny and get back to some basic Constitutionality with some modern amendments then our Spirit as a nation will thrive again..
It was definitely not my intention to have this as a rant, even though that's what it seems. I have a curiosity as to how many People really see our Nation... American or Foreign all opinions welcome...
Does America exist to serve the people?
Have we really lost the Spirit of Liberty enough to Return to an Oppressive Socialist Democracy so willingly, that we protest and beg for it?

plus, the people you say "grow my food" are NOT the ones organic and 'whole foods'..

those uneducated HICK farmers are the ones who plant the MONSANTO and pesticide it up baby.. because "ats wuhut the seed rep recommends.. thise idiots don't even know what organic is, have the 100lb belly roll, drive around in an air conditioned million dollar machine, subsidized by fed money..

Second, I usually pay no attention to words so trivial and mundane, but then making assumptions based on my profile saying where I am from? That really shows who the Intelligent ones are.

I was born at Camp LeJuene, North Carolina to an Enlisted Marine and an Auditor for DuPont/Connoco...
I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, High School Drop Out with a G.E.D. 2 credits away from Graduation why? emancipated at 16, legally and had to work to pay my bills, oh 2nd semester of my soph. year I was a Junior
Became a Chef with Enough skill and Talent to be Invited to prepare a major Banquet 2 years in a row at the Colonial Golf tournament and 1 year at the corresponding LPGA tourney after a 1 year hiatus on reputation alone
Moved to TN for a job, and met my Wife, started a family... I grew tired of food service: i.e. late nights and early mornings and missing my children grow...
TRAINED MYSELF, no SCHOOLING, or Certifications, in the IT Field, albeit not to difficult, but have Successfully run a business the last 8 years Designing installing, diagnosing, Network Infrastructures as well as Phone systems, servicing Retail Corporations all while raising 3 children under 12 and my Wife is Blessed enough to be a house wife... My Bills are Paid, My Taxes are Paid I take no government subsidies, I have no credit card debt what so ever... never have never will, no student loans, I have roughly 2200 dollars in the bank, with no savings and I pay for my family's dwindling crappy Healthcare, but We are Healthy and Happy! and have our own garden out back!!! Maybe now you can see why I am a little pissed that some Americans want to go and spend time protesting because they have ":nothing" I say, you have a brain? you have legs? you have feet? USE THEM... and at the same time, UNITE in other ways to change the system!!! Does any of that sound like Rush Hannity and the like? I wouldn't know really.
I am NOT a fan of NASCAR, and have NO Idea what channel ESPN is on but put me in front of the Steelers game, I'm glued..with a 6 pack of Dr. Pepper while the Budweiser I bought a year ago is in the fridge in my garage. lol but also... I am a Registered Native of this land... I have denied the use of the Gov. handouts/Treaty agreements/ reparations to my tribe, I do not even receive a a casino check. Have never eaten at hooters because I feel it is morally verbose, and I am Wiccan, Not Christian!!! and the only commentary I listen to on the radio is Savage... the rest you Mentioned are nothing but Lapdogs to the Political Machine..
Want to leave me out of the 99%? I dare you, I can go toe to toe...want to judge because of where I live? Tread Careful and light... because This Transplanted Tennessean Has fallen down, Picked himself up, and when he wanted to change his life... He Researched and self educated himself to do so, And finally, I'm An American Citizen who believes in the Foundation and spirit of this county, and can see the madness that is befalling us....
