Do we only have those two choices or are we talking all rocket propelled grenade systems?
And saying r.p.g. are you referring to the soviet r.p.g.?
I would choose a LAW then light anti tank weapon, while it dont penetrate as much armor it is easy to carry easy to dispose of and well I can carry
5-6 laws but only 2-3 r.p.g.s
Well I would assume you are talking about thr RPG-7 as thats the one we all see everywhere. As a anti tank weapon I dont think the RPG-7 is good at
all modern tank armour is so strong they are not much use( but neither is a LAW on a modern tank). Now on something like a Humvee thats a different
story.
If cost was a factor Id go with the RPG those things are dirt cheap. But over all I would take a LAW if I had both infront of me and I could only
carry one.
I heard that if you do not telescope the LAW "briskly" ,it will not lock, and you have a semi cocked weapon. A problem recruits have. Then the furious
range officer must grab hold of the launcher and try to fix and fire it.
Some inexperienced soldiers have been known to fire it or other systems and point it slightly downwards, causing an explosion much too close.
A LAW also has a serious kickback, while an RPG has almost none. This is because the RPG almost carries the rocket instead of launching it like the
LAW does.
One major advantage the RPG has is the fact that it's reloadable. You have to have an individual LAW for every shot you want to fire, while you only
need to carry one RPG and a backpack full of rockets.
ShadowXIX is right, it's from The Rockteer. I've been meaning to change the avatar so the swastika isn't visible, as some people find it
offensive. Here's a few screens from the propaganda film if anyone cares:
