Well let's see now..... how is that high regard for human life thing going in recent times?

Going quite well actually. We dont execute people for being gay, for belonging to another religion, for crticising the government / its policies / leadership, for wanting greater freedoms, or when a woman is gang raped by cowards for crimes against chastity.

I'm sure the people of Libya feel so grateful to the US and NATO blowing up their loved ones and their schools, hospitals, public buildings and other civilian infrastructure in order to free them from the Libyan Government.

The rebels requested the assistance. Although once again I see we have another member of the one view point only club. 13 mass graves and a body count close to 2000 dating back to Ghadaffis regime in 1996 / etc.

If you are going to feign caring about Libyans being killed in that manner, then where the hell were you with Sudan? Iran? Iraq? N. Korea? etc etc etc. Or is it to difficult to care about those countries because they arent the US?

If your going to attempt to claim the moral high ground, maybe you should make sure your house is in order before throwing the rock.

Am I just totally out of the loop, being that I am totally disconnected from the MSM propaganda machine, or does this seem like a ridiculous joke? It's not a couple days into this and the validity is already being questioned. The US government has exactly zero credibility with me. I wouldn't believe them if they said fire was hot. I find it hard to believe that a questionable, foiled attack on some guy no one really cares about (ambassador... lol) could be supported as the pretext for a war.

In my view, one of the following is true:

1.) The feds messed up bad on this one, and this is a miserable failure of a false flag attempt (sorry but I don't think these criminals running our FBI/CIA are that incompetent)
2.) This is a meaningless distraction from the OWS protests
3.) This is a small, staged incident with Iran which is just being used to "prime the pump", to get people to remember "oh yeah, Iran is an enemy!" before the real false flag happens, which will probably involve the murder of thousands more Americans (I think this is most likely)

Can't wait to see the new idea the Feds have to murder its citizens, blame a foreign power and justify more preemptive war. I'll get the popcorn ready.

Yes, I can claim the moral highground...absolutely! I do not support these wars, ever, and will not support those who bay for more wars. My government does NOT represent my views (or the views of many).

Our own governments have killed many and maimed many more in the name of simple political, financial and corporate control and it sickens me. The rhetoric about bringing freedom and democracy are shallow attempts to excuse the violence they dish out, and the death and suffering they inflict on others. Oh, and before you go bringing up pointless issues about rape and murder, look at our own crime statistics for these events in our morally superior countries!

Sorry, I see all those who support these wars as being just as guilty for the death and suffering as those who ordered it, take part in it and profit from it.

Third the US holds human life in high regards, where as Iran - not so much.

You crack me up..

I wonder what the death toll is over the last few decades from US forces that hold life in such "high regards"..

Yet your government does, whether or not you agree with them or not. Its the price for living in a free society. Sometimes, the other person wins.

Yet you and others continue to ignore other offending countries. Thats not claiming the high ground at all. Thats called ring and run. You point out the problem, jump up and down screaming about it, yet never really get around to trying to change the system.

The other term is called hypocrisy. I asked, and I will ask again - Why do you and others ignore the same issues in other countries? Again, you cant claim the moral highground when you cherrypick the countries and ignore the others.

I see people who dont get up and act to try and stop it part of the problem as well, and makes them no better than the people they condemn.

Sometimes inaction causes more damage than action does.

I'm sorry, since when has it been my job, or the job of my own government, to police what other nations can and cannot do? If the people of a country do not like the way they are treated, they will, at some point, do something about it. Claiming we are there to help, whilst killing and maiming many is NOT bringing freedom to them. Neither is imposing a puppet regime, often as brutal as the one we just removed, in order to allow big corporate interests to rape the country of resources and the banks to put them in debt for the next few generations.

Your idea of helping has, over the years, killed millions and caused untold suffering, and for what? So that the rich can profit from it? Do not tell me it's about any good intentions or bringing freedom to anyone, that has been proven to be a big lie time after time, and the proof is right there for us to see in every case.

Well, since you are so close minded on whats going on in the world, there is no point to continuing a conversation with you. You have made it clear through your ignorance on the issue that the US is to blame for all the worlds problems, while you sit at home, whining about the plight of the world while doing nothing to actively change the problem.

That inaction is what led to 2 world wars on the European continent that the US had to step in to fix and stop. Since europe cant seem to get their act together when it comes to those types of issues, the US takes lead.

We would rather take the lead and be criticised by people like you, rather than have to fight another world war because of people like you.

Next time it comes around, we will be more than happy to drop the idiots guide to learning german.
