Breaking news that British special forces have stormed a vessel off the Somalia coast, the Montecristo was hi-jacked on the 10/1011,

Are you sure? it said in the paper it was 2 marine teams 1 UK 1 US

If it wasent Royal Navy SBS then it was probably the Royal Marines Fleet Protection Group.

Duh...the SBS is part of the Navy.

For the papers to say special forces, it mean it can only be SBS. Yes Royal Marines might have been involved more than likely, but they are not special forces.

ETA: SBS is not really run by the Navy. The special forces are run differently.

Arent all Royal Marines 'commando' qualified? Doesent it put them on par with our US Marine Force Recon (who are special operations)?
