moving to brazil in 2 years possibly.. when the depression is official and hits us hard, how will it

i was just wondering if when the depression is official and no longer kept secret, how will it effect me in brazil?
im moving from the US to Brazil so the USD will be worth a little more there and the cost of living is lower which is a plus, so how bad could it possibly effect me? and for thsoe of you who think ALL of brazil is dangerous, its not you just need to go to the right cities.

so what do you guys think? also im currently working to be licensed as a clinical massage therapist so i could work as a therapist in brazil which still pays pretty good there like how it does here.

btw i read an article that brazil will someday be the 5th best economy in the world next to china
