What are the odds?
To someone getting a draconian meteor in the same picture as aurora borealis?
Thought i might as well share since it cant be that big of a chance to get it on a picture.

That is an interesting photograph and the odds seem to be great when considering the chance to be in a position to experience both.

There are very high odds. Specially when draconids meteor swarm came here, we had nice aurora show here. If u live very north, its normal to have aurora borealis almost every night. Draconids activity was at peak way more than 1 in a minute. You could get 2-3 meteors in same picture too with Aurora.

I agree the odds of eventually getting a picture like this during a meteor shower in a location where the aurora is prevalent would be close to certainly. You wouldn't get one in every shot, but take a bunch of photos over the course of the meteor shower, and you'd have to be extremely unlucky to NOT get at least ONE photo like this.

Now a picture with 3 meteors in it, that would be even cooler!
