I agree the odds of eventually getting a picture like this during a meteor shower in a location where the aurora is prevalent would be close to certainly. You wouldn't get one in every shot, but take a bunch of photos over the course of the meteor shower, and you'd have to be extremely unlucky to NOT get at least ONE photo like this.

There are very high odds. Specially when draconids meteor swarm came here, we had nice aurora show here. If u live very north, its normal to have aurora borealis almost every night. Draconids activity was at peak way more than 1 in a minute. You could get 2-3 meteors in same picture too with Aurora.
