Is there a media conspiracy against OWS to make them look stupid?

Everytime I hear or see somebody on TV or on the Radio who say they are protesting for OWS or any of the Occupy "Insert Your City Here" protests they all sound either tarded or crazy. Hopefully, there arent that many dumb people in the movement. So could it be that the media is just picking the dumbest of the bunch to interview or are most of them really dumb and/or crazy?

For instance, I was listening to the radio. Here in my city they were doing an Occupy event and so they interviewed a few protestors and had a few of them call in. One guy, sounding stoned, started to rant about the NWO and how we are all going to be burnt alive in FEMA coffins. It made for some good radio though.

Then one of the organisers of the movement had an interview scheduled at least a day in advance. Then when they asked him what they stood for he didnt have an answer. None at all. Why would you agree to be interviewed when you dont know your butt from a hole in the ground in regards to what you knew you were going to be interviewed about. He could have at least had to courtesy to make something up.

Add to that the countless interviews of the people at OWS in New York. They never really say much of anything. Then they always have to add one or two lines to really sound stupid. Even on MSNBC, where they are promoting the protests as it fits their extreme Socialist agenda, the people they interview still sound full on tard.

Feel free to post any vids or audio of your favorite dumb interviews or any evidence that indeed the media is conspiring against OWS to make them look extremely foolish.

I do love this protester though. He keeps yelling "Go Home Ed!" and "You suck Ed!". They should rename the show to the Mr. Ed Show because Ed is a talking horses rearend.

Well yeah. The establishment does not encourage protest.

Although I find these protests a little on the commercial side. This is something that's going to become mainstream very fast and eventually ignored.

They don't want another Egypt, especially not in the us. They will do anything to downplay this and make the average American think this is stupid.

The protesters don't need help looking stupid Thats one thing they can do for themselves

I saw one girl saying she wanted to take back what was hers, that would imply that she had at some time worked for and attained something on her own and that thing was taken from her. The fact is she had never had anything of her own that could be taken

The government encourages this in other countries(located abroad) publicly and not so publicly(CIA). Yet if we do the same thing here in Amerika we are (insert your favorite hypocritical descriptive term here).

Gotta love double standards. Works in the law also. Steal a few dollars, get boatloads of years in jail. Steal a billion or two, get a slap on the wrist.

You know, those that protest are so awful because we have it so great here in the land of the free........

There is a media conspiracy, since the media is owned mostly be GE, and other companies as well, large ones, that dont want this to come to pass

There are stupid people there yes, but mostly smart people. People who see the wrong. And know the system is screwed. Dont agree? have fun living in your bubble then.

The world is screwed. Look at the FED, look at the corruption. Look at the banks. This is why the new world was discovered, they didnt want a banking system. Look how that happened.

Look back in history, at some of the quotes people have said about the system we live in. We were warned.

GE is in bed with the us govenrment and its CEO is the current adminstrations head job czar and ows has the support of the majority of those "angry liberals". and this current government.

no theres no media conspiracy to make ows look stupid they are doing a fine job on their own they are protesting wall street where as 80 % of all jobs which are created by small business which have no head quarters on wall street they are located on every mainstreet in ameirca which has been strangled by the current potus and his policies and their policies since 1935.

this was a situtation created by them as a means to an end and that end is simple to get rid of the people who are not dependent upon government and who pays for all those social engineering programs all that 99% depend on from work to all their material possesions that they use on a daily basis and for those who dont live on government pensions like the majority of americans.

its all by design means to and end to make the only game in town is a government paycheck that has no means of getting paid.

Classic Psyops....discredit the opposition. In this case using the media to
make the people look stupid. In other countries demonstrations and uprisings

At first I was incredibly pleased to see the movement actually taking place and upset at the media's blasting of its participants. More and more I see that this OWS is completely disorganized and nearly pointless for those who are doing it...just to do it, I suppose.

Basically, you ask if these people are actually dumb and I will answer by saying that about 99.9% of the world is inbred morons. I'm not quick to judge, but at the same time, I can only wish more people were as intelligent as myself or (some)of the folks here on ats. Everyone wants to be part of something, but when you've no goals in mind, your occupation of wherever and whatever dissolves.

As far as the media making these people look moronic, I have no doubt that they are. Regardless if the media is feeding us lies about the protests, is anyone really winning anything from this?

I think you really need to step outside and smill the flowers, you sound like a nutcase. They are not stupid, and unless you go down there and actually start talking to people instead of believing every last thing on the internet, then you would understand. People have been swayed by the atmosphere there.

You don't like it? i guess its really too bad for you i guess. And when they talk about corporations, they mean the big guys at the very top. Theres lots of info out there proving this monopoly over everything.

Guess some people will deny it to the very end, i dont think people are as stupid as we think. If they try to impose martial law in the US. They're actually very organized. Its not disorganized in the least. It merely potrays disorganization. Its a leaderless movement, what do you expect? OF COURSE the MSM would call it disorganized without a leader. EVERYONE NEEDS A LEADER. Not.

And to be honest, people are smarter than we give them credit for, lots are dumb, yes, but lots are smart. Like the people at occupywallstreet. I've followed it from day one, and when i watch an MSM news feed on it, i laugh at how stupid the MSM is. Because they really are trying to make this movement look stupid.

Make no mistake, they are stupid. The bankers are simply doing what bankers do, making money. Same for the Wall Street folks and all the other good folks who are stealing all they can, while they can. You can protest against them all day long and it won't change a single thing.

The ONLY ones who can change this are the politicians and the only way they will change this is for the people grab them by the throat and make them. When you recall one and kick his butt to the curb you educate 100.

It is only when we go for the politicians that anything will change.

As for class warfare, the Republicans are bandying that phrase around quite a bit these days. What they fail to mention is that class warfare has been going on since the Reagan era. The rich have been waging class warfare against everyone and the middle class has been destroyed because of it. If your not rich than war has been waged against you for thirty years now, and your too dumb to realize it.

You don't need the media to make these folks look stupid, they rail against the straw man and threaten to burn it, while the farmer sits in the halls of Congress and counts his money.

They will change nothing until they go after the politicians.

I realized after I typed it that I sound like a human-hater. hahaha. I know there are plenty enough intelligent people in this world and the fact that we can band together for a single purpose/idea is proof enough.

I refuse to watch the news most days and all I ever see are snippets. Ive just gathered that they are disorganized by the fact that they've no goals/demands. I mean, how long are they just going to stand outside with their signs? It has absolutely nothing to do with not having a leader, though, I agree. We have people on the outside wanting information and those of us intelligent not to take the news' point of view are confused. What is being done? When do we get something out of this effort?

Im actually Canadian. And i am glad this is happening to be truthful. Look who is 'supporting' them? They support themselves with donations from local businesses and donations to their funds for their needs.

I wouldn't really expect you to really understand, i've watched your country go steadily downhill since 9/11. And its not going to get any better. At all. Trying to fix congress wont work, because big business has bought all them. Same with the white house. Same with my government too tbh. Watch a movie called End of america, Great to know that the once great US of A is going to become a fascist state (even without these protests)

And they're protesting all over the world. Over 800 cities now. Are going to be part of this movement.

So if i might ask you, who is defending them? Who is supporting them and funding them then? Do you have any documentation of this other than someone 'agreeing why they're angry' ??
