OOBE, Lucid Dream or something else?

Hello everyone
. I've been fascinated by lucid dreams and oobe's ever since I read about them.
So, several moths ago I tried to have lucid dreams or oobe's but didn't have much luck having one. I was able to remember my dreams more clearly and often, with more details, and I've felt the 'vibrations' in an oobe. Other than that, I had not experienced a lucid dream or an oobe, that is until this happened:

I was drifting off to sleep, and then when I knew I was at the brink of sleep, everything became dark. I was confused as to why everything was black when suddenly the darkness began to disperse and a scene started to come to view.

I was in what seemed like a meadow. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. The vibrancy of the colors in this was striking. It was as if someone took a veil off and everything was in high quality. I looked around wondering why I was there. Questioning everything.

As I perused around, I notice two children – possibly teenagers having a picnic – I was wondering who they were, when they noticed me approaching. I could see that one was a female and the other a male. They stopped talking and grinned at me, they put their cups down and looked at each other and then back at me, and the boy said: "Finally! You're here!" and the girl said: "It was about time! We've been waiting for you!" And all the while, it was as if they were communicating with me telepathically because I couldn't hear their voices and their mouths weren't moving.

I didn't know what to say, I didn't know who they were. So I stayed in place, a couple of feet away. Just wondering what was going on. They got up and began to approach me, and I stepped back. They seemed confused by my reaction, but continued to approach me.

I told them to stay back (in the same telepathic way), but they kept coming forward. I didn't feel threaten by them, but I didn't know who they were, or what they wanted. So, I felt myself shake and I turned into a huge white dog/wolf, that was about 7 or 8 feet tall, and I growled at them baring my teeth and took a threatening stance, as if ready to attack.
The strange thing was that, I could see the side of the face of the dog/wolf, as if I were floating next to dog/wolf. I could see markings on its face and the long sharp teeth it had. I did not feel threaten or afraid of this dog/wolf, because I felt as if it were a part of me. I could feel the growling as if it were my own. So, when the dog/wolf groweled, it didn't really faze the teens/beings, they just seemed a bit taken aback by the dog's/wolf's reaction.

Then, before they reacted. I decided I didn't want to be there anymore and tried to wake up. Then everything became black again before I felt a jolt and I opened my eyes. I laid in bed, pondering over what had happened, but didn't know what that was. It only lasted a couple of minutes or seconds. But, I was amazed at how everything looked so real and so sharp. I wear glasses and I can't see very well without them, so not having glasses on in this 'place' was fascinating.

So, I'm not sure exactly if it was a lucid dream or an oobe? Or something else entirely? In my regular dreams, I usually know why I'm there, who the people or things are, and do not question as to why certain things happen, no matter how absurd, until I wake up and think how silly that was.

But I found myself perplexed, I still am. Was that a lucid dream or an oobe? Because I know that wasn't a regular dream.

Can someone please give me their input? Thank you for anyone who bothers to read this
.

It doesn't fit any lucid dream description that I am aware of. My only oobe experience was nothing like that except for the fact that I was in darkness the whole time I was out of my body. I didn't even realize I was out of my body until I re-entered it and felt the crushing pain of being physical. I guess you just get numb to it.

That's interesting, a crushing pain?
And thank you for your insight

Yes strong pain. It was a long time before I realized that I was oob. I think the pain was feeling gravity and air pressure again after being free of it. There were other things but it's kinda personal. Oob was what it had to have been. I always look for someone else to describe a similar experience but never have seen it yet. I am an active lucid dreamer though been practicing and teaching it for years.

That must've been intense!
Ooh, is that so? How long did it take you to be able to lucid dream?
And are there any special tricks you use, to know that you're dreaming? If you don't mind me asking..

I had a weird dream myself a few nights ago.

I was woken not by pain but I assume instinct as I felt no pain. I clearly remember grabbing something which felt soft from my elbow. It felt like a water bottle and gave no resistance. As I put it to my side I became paralysed. I cleary remember thinking wtf! Why can't I move or talk!! Anyway must of fell back asleep but woke the next morning with a graze on my elbow where I felt the sensation the night before!! The graze on my elbow first felt like exactly that -a graze - then it looked like a bite when it started to heal. Now it's just a reg scab!!

My question is how can I get such an ailment on my arm and feel so in-different about it when I know I never left my bed!

Thanks
