Could you withdraw your money from the bank?

When I go into my bank and withdraw a large some of money....I am asked no questions at all....and if I was....I would tell them...it is none of their business.

I have a suggestion for you...next time you go into that bank...and the teller starts asking you personal questions that are none of his or her business....fire back with some questions of your own.......

How long have you worked at this bank?
How much do you get paid?
What do you spend your money on?
Which one of your bosses do you hate the most?

Wowee !! that is quite some tale about the banks and the system . That they now refuse cash ! and accuse you of money laundering . Thats what they were accussing her off , not that I understand quite what that means as I am not a crook like all these banker guys and real estate guys are .
See what happens is that they reflect upon you , the good person who saves money , what their own criminal behaviour IS .

It it THEY who are stealing and money laundering for companies etc .

Poor lady could not even buy a unit .Actually it is totally easier to just rent .

The bank I use is way cool! No fees for debit card or ATM (unless it's another bank's ATM), no account fees (in fact I earn interest on my checking account), and have always been able to take out as much cash as I want without giving them any notice. And I have NEVER been asked what I was using my money for- EVER!

My advice is that if you aren't happy with your bank shop around for a better one. There are still great banks out there that will bend over backwards for your business. I found my bank several years ago and have been nothing but happy with them!

It was really a nightmare for her. She had lived for years with an alcoholic husband and had to hide the cash from him or else he would have drunk it away. She never kept more than enough in the bank to pay the bills. Finally she wants to do something for herself and her boys and she gets accused of who knows what...drug trafficking, money laundering...now she lives as far off the radar as she can. She rents, pays her bills in cash and keeps her money to herself. Scary though because for a little while there all her money was in the bank and she was afraid she wouldn't get it out. Took some doing but eventually she was able to withdraw all of it. She did try it all at once and the bank told her she couldn't do that. She asked 'well how much of my own money can I have then?' She was told three thousand. So she did. Every day until the account was dry.

A few years ago we decided we wanted to buy a car. So we saved and saved and saved. When it came time to buy that car we went to the bank to withdraw the cash and we were basically interrogated. Why did we want it? What were we purchasing...etc. We were then told that it would be easier to put the car on the linked credit card and make a payment from our savings. Crazy.
