I Was watching this video if anything it's very interesting and intriguing Not sure what section to put this under so if its not supposed to be here mods move.

Earth Is Not Orbiting The Sun in the way we were taught More to do with Something Wrong With The Sun Moon & Earth series. Here we find an understanding of Why the Earth & our solar system do not actually orbit the Sun as taught, "Rather", We follow or better still, are dragged by the Sun in a Spiral Pattern through the universe & time. If videos don't work here's the link ______beforeitsnews/story/1191/601/Our_3-D_Solar_System:_All_Is_Not_As_It_Appears.html

The videos you posted are not showing up, but you touch on a good point. IMO, as humans we are limited to our capabilities ie: observation. We only observe the world/universe in ways that our eyes or minds can understand.

Also not only are the entire solar system hurtling through space around our milky way center, the entire milky way is hurtling through space as well, at unfathomable speeds, as are other galaxies. The andromeda galaxy for example, is on a collision course with the milky way as i type this, but this collision will not occur until a few billion years from now.

You mean in 3-D, right? I was watching a great documentary (I think it was Through the wormhole: Are there more than 3 dimensions) the other day regarding the "extra" dimensions that possibly exist. It made me think, "I wonder what the universe would look like in 4-D" (as Hawkins claims he can see in his head). It's like thinking of a colour that doesn't exist....mindraped

No, actually the real reason it is not taught the "correct" way in schools is because there is only a certain limited time to teach various topics, astronomy being one.
And lets face it, half the students dont even learn the "simple" version properly, so trying to teach the "advanced" version would be an even worse result.
If you go on the further study of astronomy in university, the more correct explanation will be taught.

But this is also true of almost every topic you can think of.
Children in schools are almost never taught the more correct and complete bigger picture of anything. There simply isnt time. The physics of sub atomic particles, for example, is about 100 years out of date now for high school students.

The moon orbits earth, the earth moon system orbits the sun, the solar system orbits the galaxy, this motion is not planar, it oscillates up and down from the galactic plane, the galaxy moves through space, and space is expanding.

Exactly what is groundbreaking in this guy's video? (except for the ridiculous misleading title, "Earth is not orbiting the sun")...

Before Its News is not a reputable source for science news, its more into pseudoscience.

Just a further note, the animation produced in this guys video is WRONG.

It simplistically (how ironic) shows the earth producing a flat spiral pattern in space as it orbits the sun and the solar system moves through space.
But this makes the simple assumption that the orbit of earth is at 90 degrees to the solar system motion. This is not true.
Its more like this...

...and without getting into the angles, its somewhat betwen the flat spiral and rolling like a wheel, and also changes as the solar system orbits the galaxy every 246 million years.

Of there is extra motion of our galaxy and our local galactic group through the universe, and if it is as described on some other pages, then the "rolling wheel" analogy of movement is even more correct.

So if I wanted to I could put a video on youtube titled "New age long haired hippy's video of solar system movement: All is not as it appears"

Well, in regards to what we can and can't see- remember that our eyes can only pick up a specific color spectrum. And as far as dimensions go, I am no expert but I think it was Einstein who said something like "everything we see is but a shadow of that which we cannot see".

I was going to mention our solar system plane tilt in respect to the galactic plane but opted for brevity.

Einstein had a habit of coming out with brilliant one-liners like that and I thoroughly agree. It's a shame our eyes have such a narrow spectrum (I was only using the colour reference to show that it's near impossible to imagine what the 4th dimension, and subsequent dimesions, would look like...even though they are all around us).
It would be nice to see real UV (like birds
) not the c**p in nightclubs etc.

Can you imagine being able to see gamma rays

Ha ha, I was trying to make a 3D icosahedron and couldn't line up the angles after many tries, then I stumble across a tutorial to construct one and it said to start with a 'golden' rectangle, I didn't know what that meant and had to look it up.
Now I have an easy formula to construct cyber 3d icosahedron, the next time I need to illustrate a molecular virus.
Well actually that's a basal construct, as viruses are extremely complex, and there are programs you can use with actual prepared pdb files (Protein Data Bank), but are restricted to use commercially, so alas I can only legally display my efforts here, so I present, my adenovirus construct.
