Dear Lord Baby Jesus, all wrapped in swaddling clothes, please forgive me and help me to be a good person, because I can't be a good person on my own. I need YOUR help, so that I can live right. Without you, I have raped, murdered, stolen, etc. I accept you into my heart, please excuse the pumping blood. I need that to survive. While in there, I ask that you not block any of my arteries.

the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.
This is just to obvious...edit on 2-10-2011 by dudeguyman because: (no reason given)

Wormwood is Chernobyl in Russian. Fukushima was rated an event on the scale of Chernobyl. A nuclear reactor is basically star power.
Just sayin.

Did 1/3 of the fish die from Chernobyl?

So if it isn't some kind of supernatural being, but is merely "expressed truth", why not just call it "expressed truth"? Why give it some other label?

The holy spirit isn't a person. It isn't a voice. It doesn't tell people anything. Does a flame tell a person it's "hot"?
When you pick up an ice cube does it say "i'm cold!" But despite these things having a voice people get the message right? Come on people this isn't rocket science. The holy spirit is expressed truth.
You mean to say that the "being" giving the prophecy to the prophet can not do it in a manner that would allow the prophet to proclaim the message in a clear and concise way?

1. the person relaying the prophecy is limited by their own understanding of their world, their language, their nomenclature.
In a world where multiple truths and faiths are taught, how do you know whether or not your specific belief is the truth?

2. if you reject or are ignorant of truth then you won't see it in yourself, from a prophet, from ANYWHERE.

I thought you were saying that Chernobyl was the "wormwood" spoken about in the Book of Revelation. I thought you were making a connection there. Maybe I misunderstood.
Anyways, I was wrong about the fish dying. Here is what Revelation 8:10-11 says: ""And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon a third of the rivers, and upon the springs of water; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and a third of the waters became Bitter; and many people had died of the waters, because they were made bitter."

The actual prophecy you are referring to has a much deeper meaning than what is seen on the earth.
That meaning I keep to myself.
