I would have expected more along the lines of a smile, or chuckle, perhaps a nod of the head like it was expected, rather than fidgeting. I don't see any eye-rolling.

As you said, he's "looking up and down and around". That's an exaggerated eye-roll. In an eyeroll, the eyes move not only up (same as when he looks up), but also around and down (same as when he looks around and down). Your own description fits an eyeroll perfectly. He's moving his whole head instead of just his eyes, but since his eyes are in his head, they follow the same path.

He may not even be aware that's what it is, but it has the same characteristics as an exaggerated eye-roll.

I find it VERY interesting that she chose to say "Planet X is of no danger" rather than Planet X does not exist?

And the stars shall fall from the heavens. I wonder sometimes...what would happen if the heavens rolled up like a scroll? Would all the satellites come plummeting back to earth?

they all seemed a bit nervous and very deliberate in thier words..despite some of the slips..they were probably waiting for THEE question, the one that they didnt want to or couldnt answer.. with the way they answered some of the questions, it was obvious that they were well aware of the ........'conspiracy therories' ...that they were tip-toeing around and didnt want to get into..rightfully so

"Yeah, I will be happy to answer this, Planet X is not coming to get you."

It's just a vicious circle all the Doomsayers have going on with Nasa. Those presenting obviously were bracing themselves for the start of the circus and acted accordingly - Fidgety and rather tongue tied as most of us would be when confronted with a bunch of people who regularly mix up their arses from their elbows.

Suspiria, IRM, you are both members that I enjoy reading replies from on various boards and normally agree with your take on different subjects...

But with all due respect, the conspiracy nutters were asking valid questions. I followed the chat from the beginning and questions were thrown in about some claims that we often hear about and if NASA could confirm or deny such claims.

Example of questions asked:

Has Elenin really disintegrated...?

Is 2005YU55 a threat...?

Why haven't we heard of SE58 or SC108 until the very last minute...?

Would an imminent impact be told...?

Questions were coming in in a fast rate, to which they would sometimes answer a NO in capital letters but you couldn't tell which question they were replying negatively to...and then the mods decided to pause the chat until the end of the conference - stating that when it resumes they would discuss rumors and incorrect information as I had linked here.

When they reopened the chat, they kept pausing it, they answered NO again in a way that you couldn't tell to which question it was assigned. They answered a Duplicate prepared in advance reply to YU55 questions (that there would be an open discussion in October and that since it would be close to Earth, scientists are looking forward to studying it) twice and then decided to close the chat.

I am sorry. They knew that many many eyes were watching the chat room and they had an excellent opportunity to silence those rumors once and for all. Instead, they took a stance of avoiding questions, give vague negative answers and finally, just shut the door.

So, once again, with all due respect, don't be surprised that conspiracy theorists see conspiracies.

In this case, NASA added oil to the fire instead of extinguishing it...

That's my take on it.

Though I understand your point, NASA is in a lose/lose situation with the conspiracy crowd. No matter how honestly they answer, ever if it's an "I don't honestly know" response, the CT'ers are just going to say their hiding something. The same people would be crying foul even if NASA did keep the chat open and attempted to answer everyone's questions.

People have every right to be concerned about what bothers them and ask sensible questions to allay their fears. Most of those though got buried under a hooha of CAPS shouting, much of which has already been addressed and already debunked around here, sometimes daily.

One of the best I seem to recall was a classic. "WHY R U IN A BUNKER UNDER DENVER?"

They were there to address questions relevant to the presentation. It became impossible, therefore why shouldn't they pull the plug? Like I said they are all stuck in a vicious circle. The conspiracy folk claim NASA avoids the issues, yet last night through their very own actions they forced NASA to close the chat feature down.
It's like a self fulfilling prophecy.

It doesnt help when nasa and the msm still claims there were actual lunar landings .

I mean , Mickey Mouse filmed the footage ...

And then some . If that DIDN'T happen , what are the chances of them telling you about something that DID or WILL happen ?

Next to none .

So conspiracy theorists ramming silly questions at them , DO need their heads examining

The same as the Vatican and the City of London to Italy and the UK, although i could be wrong,

Washington D.C. is a Federal District and it is not part of any state but it is still part of the United States.
