I was sitting in my living room when my house started shaking and it sounded like a jet was going to crash into my house, I went outside and all my neighbors where outside looking up at the sky, apparently a F-15 jet was circling a biplane who flew his plane into a 30 mile no fly zone when Obama was visiting the bay area and the F-15 fighter jet escorted it back to Watsonville airport.

but not a single jet was scrambled when a few 747s flew off course for an hour or so...

The guy flying the biplane probably s**t his pants having a F-15 fighter jet on his ass

I would have loved to have seen that.

Don't biplanes travel way below the stall speed for most military jets? The jet probably had to zip back and forth across the sky to keep an eye on that biplane. Probably wasted enough fuel to feed a small family for a year too.

But, we all know those evil biplanes are the terrorist's weapon of choice.

DAMN YOU Baron Von Knickerbocker!

Circles work better than zig-zags.

I was thinking more along the limes of the Red Baron.

Should've called Snoopy.

Agreed, I wouldn't want to get involved in a flat scissors maneuver, or stupid enough to take the bait of a Thach Weave.

Between a Stearman and an Eagle? Seriously?
Ok. I'd just go vertical on him. But there'd be just a boom with no zoom. One pass. Done.

Those jets do make a pitiful noise, don't they?

Scared the crap out of me the first time I heard one fly over my house for the annual air show here in Seattle!

I'm guessing this will be the biggest news of this Obama tour out West.

Whatever they did in Colorado seems to have stayed "under the radar."

I wasn't speaking about the "Stearman" (if that's what it was). I was addressing the flight maneuver choices between scissoring and circling. How do you know that it wasn’t a Pitts (my fav, they handle very well), Smith , or Mong?
Sheeesh Phage

Cut back on the coffee, OK.
