I love monitoring the sun. Anyone with a shortwave radio that can receive 18 to 24mhz can listen to the solar activities and jupiter. I have also used software to aid in solar flare monitoring which is free online. Hook up the radio to the computer mic input and it creates a graph. I have recorded the very eerie arching sounds from ground currents before and during the recent solar storms too. One recording includes the moment we lost power. That was a couple months ago, not yesterdays. Id put them online but itd take me ages and i dont have a proper computer at the moment.
