Ignant,

Mind a slightly different question? Going back to the scientific proof you've offered, what is the "Surveying and Collecting Specimens and Laboratory Measuring Group?"

The only reference I can find to them are two articles (including the one you're quoting). Are they UN? NATO? Do they have a web site? Do they even exist?

I hope you have some information about them, because now it seems possible that someone may have tried a hoax.

I had the same question - and beyond that, there's actually no science content in the referenced article... and certainly nothing to link the claim that NATO forces have used weapons with nuclear capability, to the OP claim that they've poisoned the water supply.

Nor is there anything to link the "Denver False Flag" (which hasn't even occured yet) to the "Nuclear Holocaust" event in Lybia... which have occurred at completely different time periods. Not to mention that most of the people on the planet aren't even AWARE of the events to come in Denver. Hardly qualifies as a false flag (e.g 9/11 was a worldwide phenomenon, this hardly equates).

I think some genuine research and fact-finding is in order before claiming false flags and nuclear holocausts, hmm?

Apparently everything out of the ordinary now days is a false flag. If I really don't hear much about it, then it never really happened. Must stay vigilant, and not get side tracked from all the hype.

Good grief. You actually got stars for that post! Can I have the time back that I wasted reading it? I just dipped into yet more insanity on ATS!

I have ben wondering if we didn't do it on purpose, too. It seems like some underhanded war has been raging. Middle east nations have been, behind the scenes, executing economic war on America. I have heard that the money loaned, then rebundled and sold, came originally from Middle Eastern business (aka "government").

With all the DU rounds used, and the high levels of radiation seen in the area, it makes you wonder if there is a behind the scenes exacting of revenge happening.

Here is what you need to know about depleted uranium.

1. It is an alpha emitter. And a very weak one. It poses practically no threat in terms of radiation exposure.

2. It has a density greater than lead, which is why it was used in ammunition and is also used in things like radiation shielding and armor plating.

3. The only way that depleted uranium can harm you is by physically ingesting it. In ammunition and explosives, you do run the risk of inhaling DU in the form of dust. It will take approximately 15 days to pass through your system.

4. If depleted uranium is dumped into a water supply, the water is still completely safe to drink. Due to the high density of the DU, it will sink into the bedrock or muddy bottom of whatever lake or river it is in.

Nuclear Power is not safe!!!

Hang on... Words are not adequate for what is in store.

Now, if only her theme song could play in the back-ground while you read....

First off, Sellafield, in the UK has the largest stockpile of DU in the world.70 Tons of DU is stored in unsecure buildings and a major accident could write off the north of england. And even with no disaster, democracy there is seriously undermined because of the need for intense and active security-habeas corpus does not apply with Britains nuclear police.

God Forbid we put that # in some kind of secure storage facility within a mountain - or something like that.

You realize that the amount of hazardous waste left over from nuclear power is far less for the amount of energy generated than any other source of power in existence. Even the impacts of wind and hydro-electric power on the local environment have to be factored in, here. The only source that produces less waste is geothermal (even solar has considerable environmental concerns in the manufacturing of cells and the power storage systems).

Coal and oil plants release more radioactive material into the atmosphere than is used as fuel in nuclear reactors each year.

There is no method for safe disposal of nuclear waste.

You've obviously never seen how it's "disposed" of, then. The fuel rods are sealed within a lead-lined hardened container which is then packed in cylinders of concrete about the diameter of a telephone pole. You are exposed to more radiation by sleeping next to someone (potassium and carbon isotopes) than you would be sleeping amidst containers of nuclear waste disposed of as per regulation.

We place guards around the stuff because it's not good to just toss it in a dump somewhere and let industrious criminals/antagonists get a hold of it (the funny thing is that fly-ash is readily available and contains large amounts of U-238 and Thorium that could be separated without much difficulty, given patience).

Half the Vets of the gulf war, where DU was used, are either dead or sick, their symptoms matching those of visitors to Hiroshima after the atom bomb.

Hang on, I've got another one:

You're going to need to source this one, buddy. There, simply, are not that many cases where patients are experiencing symptoms similar to radiation sickness. Less than 1% of the veterans involved in Vietnam were exposed to Agent Orange and there are ongoing lawsuits and medical cases linked to exposure (the lawsuits are pretty frivolous, but it is the opinion of many physicians that having parents/grandparents/etc exposed to agent orange prior to your lineage being conceived is a potential explanation for a number of odd physical conditions).

Some of their children are born without arms but with swollen torsos and shriveled legs, just like that of many children in Iraq.

Again, you're going to need to source this.

Much of Afghanistans water is contaminated by DU used at Tora Bora. The Balkans are contaminated, Baghdad is contaminated

Depleted Uranium is used rather sparingly in the military. Not only is it pricey, but it's very expensive to clean up (we spend vast amounts of money cleaning up lead and other metal contaminants from war zones following operations). Further, uranium is much like radon - it's dense as all holy hell and doesn't really "contaminate" things very well. Its diffusion within water is very poor.

I would be far more concerned about contaminants in those water supplies such as parasites, mercury, and lead from naturally occurring sources. DU is not really that big of a concern. As has been stated, already, it's an alpha emitter; harmless unless you grind the stuff up to put in your salt-shaker.

As I pointed out earlier, there is another thread on this site dsicussing the DU and whats going on in Afghanistan. The people behind the research there belonged to various groups who are opposed to the US.

The similarities between this thread and the info in that afghanistan thread is very similar. It, at least to me, looks like its the same thread with the names changed.

No disrespect meant towards the OP.
