There was 2 X Flares the last 2 days

Space weather hasn't reported the latest one yet although they had a 20 percent chance of a powerful one happening.
Ok Debunkers, take these dates and look over them again. Feb 27, 2010, March 11, 2011. And then the 26 of September or 27th. All perfect alignments (except Elenin's slight disposition because it came in on an elliptical orbit. Here is the JPL model for Elenin ssd.jpl.nasa.gov...

No. These are ALL the dates of the strongest flares:

X2.2 - Feb 15, 2011 (1158)
X2.1 - Sept 6, 2011 (1283)

X1.8 - Sept 7, 2011 (1283)
X1.5 - March 9 , 2011 (1166)
X1.4 - Sept 22, 2011 (1302)
M9.3 - Aug 4, 2011 (1261)
M9.3 - July 30, 2011 (1260)
M8.3 - Feb 6, 2010 (1045)

You cannot eliminate the flares that don't fit in with your Elenin alignment theory. As you can see, there were flares on non-alignment days. What does that tell you?

Sorry I should of been more specific. I was just showing the recent activity on the sun. The dates are major earthquakes. I"m guessing you couldn't figure that out. Feb.27 2010, was the Chili quake 8.8 that knocked earth off its axis(barely). Then Fukishima mar11 2011 9. something. Then the next alignment is Sept 26 2011. I also included the JPL orbital diagram to check the dates.

I think his statement makes perfect sense.....What you fail to understand is that in your analogy you are using something already proven to cause heart disease. Claiming that an alignment with Elenin causes Solar Flares is sort of like saying "I was wearing a purple T-shirt 2 of the 15 times that I have had a heart attack.....Therefore Purple Shirts cause Heart Attacks"

Well when there is a giant quake in the next three days, i guess my Sept 22nd and 24th flares weren't related. And this is all due to smoking anologies. Darn all this comet talk, and our sun just wanted a smoke.

Perhaps because you were using Space Weather and talking about earthquakes...maybe that had something to do with my "misunderstanding".

Again, you can't select only a few earthquakes, and a few flares, to make a connection. You also have to include all earthquakes and all solar flares.

What about these past earthquakes:

May 22 1960; Chile; 9+
March 22, 1964; Alaska; 9+
December 26, 2004; Sumatra; 9+

It tells me the sun is doing what it does naturally, ejecting X-rays. Hope anyone flying that spaceship Elenin has plenty of radiation shielding

You inadvertently proved my point.

Smoking causes a heart attack and many other illnesses.
Heart attacks happen for many reasons.
Therefore, you can not say ALL smokers have heart attacks nor all heart attacks are caused by smoking.

Major earthquakes have coincided with strong flares.
Some earthquakes have coincided with Elenin alignment.
There have been major flares with no major earthquake.
There have been major earthquakes with no major flare.
Major earthquakes and major flares have occurred when there was no Elenin alignment.

Therefore, you CAN NOT say Elenin alignment = major flare = major earthquake.

Make sense now?

I used to wear purple socks, one time I wore them there was an earthquake, and it had nothing to do with HAARP!

I'm left in a quandary as to why I quit wearing purple socks, except for the fact it is easier to match black socks if that is all you have.

I am really not on boar with the whole Elenin is causing doom and gloom stuff but at the same time, what is up with all of these terrible broken logic arguments against it?

Causality is a big tell tale as to relationships between events. It's not the only means of determining if a connection is there, not even a very significant one at times (based upon the statical frequency of compatible situations).

As has already been pointed out, this wouldn't be the Only cause of earthquakes or major flares as they have happened from time to time long before Elenin would have been near our planet/sun. This doesn't mean that something else was the cause of those and a totally different thing (such as Elenin) could be causing these effects now. It's like, smoking can cause cancer.. but also sunlight can cause cancer, or GM foods can cause Cancer, so many different causes of cancer.. doesn't mean that 1 was a cause of cancer and the others were not also possible causes of it independent of each other.

Again, it's now the 26th September 2011, there has not been any seismic activity of notable significance to the best of my knowledge, the run-up of such activity hasn't increased either which I believe would have happened should there have been a relationship between Elenin and these events.. But I think give it a few days so something like 1st October 2011 to be sure we are all in the clear on this latest drama. Doubt we'll be seeing all that much of anything though as the comet has vanished and all that. Could be similar to another comet I saw vanish when it's tail got dislodged by intercepting a large flare from the sun.
