Six solar flares in 24 hours

NASA released this video of six solar flares that occurred in a 24 hour period from September 18 to September 19. They appear to have come from scattered points on the sun.

Hey guys, I live in Puerto Rico and was checking the weather website because a storm may struck soon an saw this video. So I, will share. What do you think? I think I'll be constructing an underground bunker tomorrow

Thanks for posting this thread. As for you building a bunker there would be no need to. Solar flares will only disrupt electric grids or communications.

Would this explain why several of my electrical outlets and lights stopped working on the 19th???? several of my neighbors and friends also said theyre alarms went off even when they werent connected, my lights flickered and turned off around 9:30 PM EST in London Ontario

if the alarms we're electrical which they all are they wouldnt of went off. instead it would fried them and anything else electrical..so no your 45mins away from me in sarnia....prob just a power surge or something....

Looks like solar cycle 24 is spinning up to be an active one, just as many reports predicted. The last general estimates I saw for a peak were still 1st quarter of 2013. It should keep things interesting for those who watch the sun closely.

Im sure PHAGE and his automatic 20 star minions will arrive in force and offer a "logical" explanation.
