GAMECUBE SUCKS! It is a freaking expensive paperweight! PS2 and XBOX take it to GC like a preist takes it to an alter boy.

I do realize your point but you don�t have to go berserker over it okay? Anyways GC is not expensive it costs half of what a Ps2 costs. Either way the only reason that I stay loyal to Nintendo is because of the N64 and my belief that Nintendo will come out with something better some time.

Now the system that is most bothering me is X-Box. I realize its capabilities as a system but wouldn�t you rather class it as a computer? It is nothing but a computer disguised as a system in a clever way to make good old Bill some more money than he already has. I completely support Nintendo because they are strictly a gaming company unlike Sony and Microsoft. Do you catch my drift? I am not saying in anyway that GC is superior to X-Box or PS2 just understand my thinking and don�t go berserker.

i pesonally feel nintendo will win this hand held battle, they have held this hand held title for countless years fending off all the other machines, even the nokia n gage didnt hit nintendo like nokia was hoping. i really think sony should be focusing into the more on the home system market which they have held since the playstation. not trying to cause a big battle of machines here but although the xbox and gc have far superior sytems the games of the ps2 have got a more playabilty factor about them.

back to the subject psp is going to be good but the hand held tends to be in the younger age category and nintendo has this covered

i have all the systems ps2, xbox,gc, gba and a top notch pc and im not a follower of any system

It has nothing on the P2P(Or what ever they are calling it these days.) I think the small disks are the bad side of it. The game play is ummmm GREAT.

I just figured it out, The Nintendo is for kids, because it DOES look like at toy. And the P2P is for the older gamers Sexier.

Dude, Xbox is a game system. Also, who cares if Bill Gates makes money off of a great gaming system? He makes a great gaming system, sells it, makes money. This is capitalism.

Also, PS2 and XBOX are $149.99. GC is $100.00, not half. Well, actually I go to a place that sells used systems. GC for 50, PS2 for 115, and XBOX for 125. Also, PS1 and SNES are sold for 50.

I don't see why gaming today has become such a war against console fans - "You're my bestest friend in the whole wide world b/c you have an XBOX and not a GameCube."

I say, if the system has a good game then that's the only reason I need to own it...I'm a guerilla warfare gamer man....I have some sneeky sneeky tactics - When the PS2 market stops putting out good games but the XBOX booms, I'll just sell my PS2 and buy more XBOX game - When the PS2 comes back I'll buy a new one - I've wasted so much money b/c of this....It's actually not a sneeky tactic at all - it's stupid and I need to stop doing it

But to the question at hand - I'll probablly get both, but I think the GB DS is too bulky looking with those two screens and that may reduce their sells...the way a system looks sometimes seems to be more important to people than they way it plays....

i dont know about that "Tales of Arcadia" for the psp or w/e. sounds like two nintendo GC games put together, Tales of Symphonia and Skies of Arcadia:Legends

but you guys have to admit, Gamecube games can be hella fun and for only 100 bucks...

But then Sony also is good at RPG gaming, hence Final Fantasies and Xenosaga(im working on that game right now! 16 hours in, its amazing).

I don't know why the hell people think Nintendo is for kids. They have there share of game's for everybody to enjoy. Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Prince of Persia and Zelda series for teens and adults.

And Mario games are for everybody, Mario is hugely popular between the ages 3 to 30 or even higher. Mario has embarked in the best games of all time.

IMO DS is very cool but when you have an xbox and gamecube there's no point in playing handheld systems.

what annoys me is they always seem to breack down in the end its like the all have a chip in them which the company sets off just befor the next console comes out.

For me the game cube comes bottom out of the 3 consoles i play it less than the other two anyway the xbox is good for FPS & the big title games dues ex 2,halo's ninja gaiden look & play so good on the xbox but ive played FPS on PS2 & they just dont work to well seems to take ages to turn on them only problem i have with it. PS2 is good how you can play old games i still get out final fantasy 7 out now & then still kicks ass.

Any news on half life 2 release?is it on Xbox aswell as pc? i need new pc if it isnt on xbox because there is no way i wont be buying it as soon as its out even if i cant play it

oh & sirkillalot like you i used to think nintendo would release a game to rivale goldeneye but 4 some reason they made & fort what a great game lets never do anything like it again...but since then ive found half life,DoD,CS etc so compared to them its not very good but back in the day bout 13-14 had some wicked times playing wit me mates on goldeneye

If the unit price is too high noboby will buy it $200 for a hand held??? those nokia ngauges are flying off the shelves right?
If the unit price is too low they loose money they can't afford .
Nintendo took a hosing on game cube and if this fails ...and I'll bet it does Nintendo will join Sega in Game heaven.

Man I thought I was the only person that would still break out his PS1 games once and while. I still like some of those games like FF7 heck I have FF6 on PS1

I think Nintendo dropped the ball with the success of Goldeneye HALO has become the new Goldeneye for this gen of systems

ahh speaking of conker, whos with me when I say Conkers Bad Fur day was one of the best game to play against your friend for N64?

Well, at least most people realise that GC sucks. I still whip out FF7, FF8, not FF9, that game was horrible. I also get out Vanishing Point or orginal Twisted Metal. I love the fact that I hadn't wasted $200-$300 on games for PS1 just to be not able to play on PS2. That is another flaw Nintendo has. You buy new system, all old games worthless. Can't play any orginal, super, or 64 on GC. Or get out some Warzone and original Tenchu for PS1.

Also, 200 for a hand held? Nope. Maybe 50, maybe 75, but not 200. still have a original gameboy with tetris and stuff. Love Space Invaders! But then Nintendo screws it up. I know Pokemon was huge with kids, but kids lose intrest fast.
