I thought I might add, the picture for it looked exactly like one of the ATS poll pictures, I clicked it wondering "WTH is this poll? Enigma?" Then it took me to that site, I clicked on the image and it linked to this thread.

HMMMMMMMMMMM.

Well dang, I didn't realize this thread had reached almost 80 pages... I read through about ten and replied. Geez!

So does someone know what this thing is now? Some kind of message?

yeah i did some quick lookin around that site, didnt check any code, but seems to be quite odd. seems to be some kind a cache tracker/keyword logger or something, sorry folks, i work with hammer not a pc, but I was getting ready to say that the website was too indepth to be fake, but before i typed it i wanted to double check and really it doesnt seem to be. As previoously stated i swing a hammer, but i could fashion that website in a few hours or afternoon, someone good, prob an hour. I might be wrong, (which is why i said something) cause i know you guys are some pretty smart thechies, and you can take it further or correct me. One thing i noticed is at the bottem left side of the page there is a quotation mark all out by itself in the middle on nowhere. Prob just a mistake, which doesnt disprove my theory, if anything mistakes in trying to rush a quick "front" website to house some clues, some mistakes might have been made. But so far these dude got this thought out pretty freaking in deapth, so i dont see things being mistakes. idk im lost in my own dialouge now.

I forget what they are called, but this type of website generates their pages from online content. At this moment, towards the bottom of the page on the right, there is a section labeled "Twitter activity", which shows a tweet about someone referencing incorporated territories. Incorporated territories are related to travel, and are therefore included in the keywords for the site. The cached Google page shows the same Twitter section, but it references the enigma.amgine post about i.t., as well as the shortened URL that Twitter provides, which is the only reason it shows in the search for 2VZAy4D to begin with.

So the ad for this site was on the main page of ATS so I gave it a look. When I clicked the picture on the site it brought me directly to this thread...whether or not the site has direct ties to here I do not know, but it certainly seems odd..

Ok, so it finally got me, and I clicked on the pic with the fallen liberty on it.

I know this is probably obvious, but why has ATS created this "Enigma" ?

Apologies if this has all been answered already, but I couldn't do x amount of pages worth of reading to find the answer, guess I'm just plain lazy
lol

Ah, I just looked at what forum this is in, I didn't even know we had it. "ATS sponsored games/events"

So this was an ATS game, hence the reason the picture looked like it was from ATS, the person who made the site lived in Arizona (SkepticOverlord) & the site now links back to here.

I see, I see (: Smart one.

you mean this twitter activity? I show it going to a twitter account WTF and not amgine.

Twitter Activity :: Incorporated Territory
2011-09-16T19:15:16Z : WTF Facts, WTF__Facts - Puerto Rico is not an independent country; it's a no incorporated territory of United States.

it does talk about incorporated territories though. Can you post the referencing link you found. That is a back link.

I really really really hope that once this all gets figured out that it turns out to be a huge joke on everyone who figured it out.

Meaningless. Trolled if you will.

But props to everyone working so diligently to figure it out. You will have achieved nothing after countless man hours slaving over this enigma.

Oddly in the source code for unifiction there are numerous links to this ATS thread page 72.

Unifiction.com is also crammed full of code breaking tools for alternate reality gaming just like this game.

Why it only links to page 72 I have no idea.

After a long day of surfing the web, you crash hard and sleep soundly. But suddenly you are awakened by the persistent ringing of your phone. You answer it, and the voice at the other end speaks sinisterly, "If you know what's good for you, you'll back off. You don't want this, you really don't." You're sitting in the dark at 3:00 a.m., staring at the now-dead phone, thinking to yourself, "What have I gotten into?" Then you remember the strange web site you signed up for earlier that evening on a lark. You realize that whoever they are, they already know a lot more about you than you do about them. You'd better get cracking. Welcome to the world of Alternate Reality Gaming. Welcome to unfiction. more "…the single most important tool for ARGers."

Congratulations. The first tidbit, of many, was discovered.

This is indeed a game concocted by those sinister people behind the scenes at ATS. Part of the game, is knowing what is the game.

Much needs to be discovered, located, analyzed, and considered. The first person to do so will receive a 32GB 3G iPad.

Good luck.

I think we just wait for more clues, no use in wasting time here. We are all at a brick wall and it doesn't seem like we are going to be getting any clues anytime soon. They are hard pressed on letting someone finish the game on their schedule and not ours. They want it completed on October 11, 2011 and not sooner.

Looks like a Thrive thing.

SO stated in chat that the game is fully enclosed, we have everything we need to solve it.

SO has said that we have everything we need to solve this. So the answer is here somewhere.

EDIT: And that there is no need to use any other sites than ATS, the twitter feed and the Enigma-Amgine site.
