I don't want to sound picky, but the black oval is actually made up of 44 overlapping circles (Yes, I counted them) - I don't know if that is relevant, but wanted to put that out there.

I am still drawn to the clue 'a star story'. Perhaps the unredacted page can be found using that clue and the message last.before is telling us to take another look at an old clue.

That seems logical as well.

I would almost believe there are two clues in the same thread where we found a clue earlier. S.O. said in the chat to expect a plot twist. We've found 1 clue per thread, so far, so I wouldn't doubt that possibility.

Anything is possible in this game.

Check Xcalibur254's link in the recaps in your sig for the online .pdf file. It perpetually updates itself, because anytime we find a new Journal entry, Xcal uploads it to his google docs, and since the link is already in the recaps, all the Journal entries found so far are listed there. Pretty slick, eh? Kudos to Xcal!

If you ever need to reference a Journal page, that is the place to look!

I would say last before is more hints being given to us to go back to the clue we threw out, the Redacted pic. Also does anyone have an Error Dump, I came across something while trying to find the unredacted pic and I while research steganography techniques and cryptography and there was one method that showed something that resembled those error dumps.

Early on, it was decided that the error dumps were that, simply error dumps. If it was a clue, we ignored it. A lot of people have posted their error dumps, and which passwords caused them, but noone has been keeping a log of them. That'd required someone going back through the past 100+ pages, and making a post or two listing them all.

Also, Grower has been playing with them, every which way and that, for several days now, and there's nothing conclusive there. It may still be a clue, who knows.

Nothing S.O. has said in the chat tells us to revisit them.

He does say to figure out the redacted Journal entry.

As you can see the results look a lot like the error dumps people where finding, and I am wondering if it really was an accident, I am sure they could be queued to give a random dump on a wrong password attempt thus adding a bit of competition to the game. I found this earlier looking into steganography and I am trying to go back and find one of those dumps and see if they can be decrypted.

Ummm, look at this guys. um it might not be anything but as far as the before last clue . i goggled it and this is what i saw. some kind of game. maybe if we follow the rules with a phrase or something we can get it.. i might be all the way off but, smart ppl here maybe you can do something i cant......This is an experimental game that runs two different word association games within the same line.
Each game begins with two unrelated words. The third word must be associated with the first while the fourth must associate with the second. Therefore the game could run: Electronic music, British monarchy, Trip-hop, Prince William, where Trip-hop associates with Electronic music, and British monarchy associates with Prince William.
Like the other games: avoid repeating words, use blue links only and keep it tasteful. For clarity during editing, add and alternately to the left of each word. Use letters "a" and "b" for each parent game, "c" and "d" for the first branch, "e" and "f" for the second, &c. To the right, remember to add a comma after every word and mark off every ten words:

In normal play, only add one word at a time to a branch at a time, although you may edit as many branches as you like in a single edit. The only exception is when starting a new branch, which required two starter words. Any two consecutive words from the parent game can be used.
