There is no word more despicable in the American dictionary. The blind love of your own skin color is the easiest way to be dismissed, discredited, and disavowed. It’s also how the current White House occupant will frame his entire reelection campaign. He has nothing else.

He has no argument to support his onslaught of our way of life, our values, or our life’s work.
Expect this to be, bar none, the most despicable election campaign in all history. Expect to be called out on explicitly false premises. Expect the Obamabots to be angry and unreasonable. Expect the president to support their POV. Expect union thugs, black panthers, communists, faux-anarchists, and the entirety of the unhinged left to become violent.

It won’t matter that you aren’t racist. It won’t matter that you don’t frame your thought process around what color anyone is. Like Nivea whose attempt to raise minorities to the prominence of the majority backfired, every attempt to be perceived as not racist, will be a keynote in their insane campaign.

It’s already happening. It’s already taken hold in the simplest of minds (reserved as always for the left).
I think enough is enough. If there is any place for violence, it’s in defense of the truth. We’ve had too much already. Stand up Americans. It’s okay to tell someone they’re wrong on all counts. It has nothing to do with what color they are. It has to do with how wrong they are.

Anyone and everyone who uses that racist card should be laughed at and publicly mocked. They fuel the flames of racism, in my opinion. You keep getting told that you are a racist so instead of either shutting up or agreeing with them (like they want you to do) it only serves to aggravate you to the point of having racist thoughts just because of that. It is funny how the human mind works. But that has happened to people I know who, trust me were not racist, but now completely dismiss everything about other races. One friend even went as far as to actually just say he is racist and does not give a damn anymore. I doubt he is naturally racist; you are just pushed to that point.

We always have to remember there is only one group of people who are the racists though: whites, especially white Christian men. I never hear anyone tell a black man or a Hispanic man he is a racist/supremacist, don’t you dare tell me it is because none of them are because that is a giant load of crap. Whites are the least racist people in the world; I would argue they are so non-racist it is borderline anti-white racism. Just check out the affirmative action programs the left clings to and the hate speech laws which are designed for the protection of ‘minorities’, but don’t you dare acknowledge people have different skin colors or you are a racist.

Personally it does not bother me if the Obamabots call me a racist; I will just laugh at them like I always do. It would hurt me if I was subconsciously worried about being a white supremacist but really I am not worried about that so ‘sticks and stones’. I know that I am a racialist, not racist, and am perfectly comfortable with my views on race. Race is not to be used as a weapon no matter who is using it, be it supremacists or the PC crowd.

Good thread, OP, I am glad we are on the same page here.

Not all differences of opinion are racist, nor are they accusatory of racism. However, to deny that SOME in politics are still racist is being blind. It's not playing the race card when it's accurate and it's not ok either to claim racism where there isn't any. So many sides to every coin.

Misoir,
Sorry but no, you do not get pushed into racism. You can hate a person for their ideals or tactics why does the color of their skin ever come into it?

I'm not caucasian.
(I think that cat is out of the bag here)
I've written extensively before and since Obama hs taken office. Never once did I state my ethnicity.

And simply because I am a conservative who is critcal of Obama's policies, I have been called every name in the book.

Their (on the left) behaviour has spoken volumes of their "character" and "integrity".

So will you be defending anyone from the false accusations? Will you demand that policy differences aren't racist? Or will you lump yourself in with the indefensibles this election season?

None of the differences are racist. All the accusations will be. It's the only strategy the White House can count on.

We are where we are today as a Nation because of the past.
And the past administrations whom have come and gone.

I feel that many Americans have progressed beyond simply looking at an individuals ideals vs simply the color of their skin.

Much if not most of Obama's support stemmed from his speaking out about bringing the troops home.

As far as affirmative action.

Affirmative action was not by Choice. It was in response to injustice in a supposedly fair and just society.

Rosa Parks didn't necessarily choose to sit on the back of the bus, she was told to by the majority or else she was breaking the law and subject to arrest.

My Choctaw ancestors didn't necessarily choose to migrate on foot to Oklahoma.

They were told to by the majority or else suffer the consequences...called a lead .45 slug.

Ross Perot told us back in 92 that at our current rate of spending, we'd as a Nation soon be bankrupt and we didn't listen to him either....

We elected to not change our ways and this is exactly as to why we are Bankrupt today.

This was the catlyst for Obama's overwhelming support ....and not necessarily the color of his skin.

PEACE

Clearly you are right - this has been set in motion some time ago, starting with the refusal of the Justice Department to pursue voting rights cases brought forth by whites. The DOJ is a racist organization. Holder lied as did his senior staff regarding the policy nature of their refusal to investigate. Holder should have lost his job in that incident. Further underscoring this racist element in the DOJ is the recent reconstitution of the Civil Rights Division with expanded powers.

On the above, it is interesting that the Black Panther who was shown aggressively intimidating white voters in his uniform swinging a galvanized pipe around was sanctioned. His penality? He is forbidden to be within 50 feet of a polling place. When does the sanction expire? Interestingly it expires next summer, just in time for the big show.

Obama should have publically repudiated the obviously racial attacks that of occurred recently, in Philadelphia, Milwaukee and other places throughout the country. His being mute on them is a defacto signal of at least support. There was a similar attack only yesterday - the MSM is purposefully not covering black on white violence.

Last week's statement from the Congressional Black Caucas that Blacks should march on Washington is further evidence of the current leftist political elite attempting to stir up the masses.

This will be a historic election and there will be a large swing at the end. Historically whites lie to pollsters, telling them that they will vote for the minority publically while either not voting or pulling the lever for the other guy. They lie because they don't want to be branded a racist. Obama's election was unusual in that the pre election polling actually did match the election results. Do a bit of research on elections with African American candidates, notably Dinkins in NYC and Wilder in Virginia and you will find a dramatic difference between pre election polls and actual election results. Do not be surprised if there is a 5 point swing against Obama between the day before the election and election day.

The only way that there will not be violence at specific polling places is if it becomes so blatantly obvious that Obama is going to lose. If its close there will be urban violence.

The irony, of course is that Obama was touted as the first "post racial President". He will come to be known not only as a failed President, but also someone who turned back race relations 30 years.

Make no mistake. Obama and the democrats want you afraid for him to lose the election. They want you to make the calculus that having him reelected is better than having massive urban unrest. They want you to think that the US reputation in the world will be that we are a racist country. They want to manipulate you since they can obviously not win the election on the merits of Obama's performance.

As you accurately say - its the only game he's got, other than possibly legalizing a few million Mexicans prior to the election, absolutely something being discussed internally.

Okay, this thread is sorta against the spirit of the freedom of speech. People have the right to form an opinion even though you find it incovenience. You don't have to agree it, you may find it despicable but in the end, they have the right to speak their mind, and I hope you could respect those right.

Well I believe that EVERYONE is racist to a degree, it's called humanity. We all prefer to be around people who look, speak, and act like we do.

It's not about race, it's about CULTURE Many of the problems facing the Black (oh im sorry "African-American") community, the Hispanic community, and the American Indian (opps I mean "Native-American" - more on this in a bit), are not because of their skin color or their ethnic background but rather because of CULTURE. The current Black culture encourages things like being a 'gangsta', dressing like a fool with their underwear hanging out and their hat on lopsided. It discourages getting a good eduction, working hard, speaking properly, practicing safe sex, personal responsibility, the importance of the nuclear family, and so forth.

Now on to the hyphenation. This annoys me to no end. American Indians are not the only natives, they were merely here before the British, Dutch, and Swedish came. Also, anyone who was born in the United States, on an American Indian reservation, or in a United States insular area (aka Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the US Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands) is a NATIVE AMERICAN. Im a native American, anyone who was born in the United States and is not an immigrant is a native American period. Ditto for hyphenation, the only "Irish-Americans", "German-Americans", "African-Americans" are those who were actually born in Ireland, Germany, or in an African or Caribbean nation - everyone else is an American, or a native American as I mentioned previously.

The United States of America is descended from a British colony. This is why we speak English and have many British influences upon our government and legal system. The English language, common law, juries, local legislatures, county sheriffs, a bicameral Senate and House, etc are legacies of British rule. As recently as 1910 60% of Americans were of British or Irish descent, as recently as 1960 90% of Americans were White and of European descent. 41% of Americans alive today can trace their origins to a country that was once, or still is under British rule and has/had the British monarch as head of state. Immigrants and all minority groups need to respect these roots and traditions. We are an Anglo-Saxon nation, not some 3rd world mess.

That's where I see it going too. I don't want Americans to lay down. This thread, hopefully, will open the eyes of the "guilty" that they see racism where it really is (in the policies of the left) and stand up. Want a post-racial America? Have the courage to point your finger at them.

No it isn't.

You're free to your own opinions but not to your own facts. It's the "opinions are people too" drivel that TPTB are counting on. Your opinion is not valid just because you said it.

And BTW, the 1st Amendment protects us from the government. Not from each other.

When the left says "post racial" they really mean a nation ruled by political correctness, and extreme far left liberal beliefs. Beliefs that have nothing in common with what this nation stands for.

It's your own facts vs their own facts. That's just very arrogant, you don't own the monopoly on facts, Mr TreadUpon.

In defense of "100% Americanism", Henry Cabot Lodge (R) alongside Theodore Roosevelt (R), believed in what Lodge said about immigration and the races:

"Let every man honor and love the land of his birth and the race from which he springs and keep their memory green. It is a pious and honorable duty. But let us have done with British-Americans and Irish-Americans and German-Americans, and so on, and all be Americans...If a man is going to be an American at all let him be so without any qualifying adjectives; and if he is going to be something else, let him drop the word American from his personal description."

Also may I add that not once have I agreed with a person's entire post like I have yours. We share the exact, down to the last letter, idea on this country, culture, race, history, and all of that. Consider yourself friended.

Thanks

Woodrow Wilson also had some pretty good quotes about this as well (surprisingly). Teddy Roosevelt though was very, very big on "Americanism" - he was probably one of our best presidents ever.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all... The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic... There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Teddy Roosevelt

Any man who carries a hyphen about with him carries a dagger that he is ready to plunge into the vitals of this Republic whenever he gets ready.

Woodrow Wilson

The problem with the one-size-fits-all race card race card (I say it twice when it's people who accuse others of using a race card) is that they refuse to consider actual cases of racism. So what if there are people who are a bit hyper-sensitive and a bit ultra-vigilant when it comes to racism? Does that mean that every authentic case of racism should be swept under the rug?

And it does exist both ways. If it seems that the media portrays more white racists than any other, it is because there are more white racists than any other. Because they are not a minority in the US. There are also more white plumbers than any other race. There are more white doctors than any other race. There are more white everything than any other race. Therefore it appears like there are more white racists. Because there are. It's not unfair, it's just statistics.

By dismissing every accusation of racism and even using the term "race card", people look even more racist. Usually, that's when I have the racist-alarm go off in my head; the moment somebody says "race card". How about we just take everything as a case-by-case basis this election? I mean, for crying out loud, nobody in the DNC has even started campaigning yet so it's a bit preemptive to accuse them of any sort of tactics.

How about we look at each case and determine if it's actually racist or not and then judge the scenario and nothing else.
