Now before you jump to conclusions, you should know that psychopaths are as different from one another as anyone else. Just because Charles Manson convinced several people to commit murder for him does not mean all psychopaths are murderous.

Contrary to popular belief, psychopaths do in fact have feelings. They are just not the same as you have. I get angry, but my anger is slow to burn and is easily extinguished. Now being a psychopath I am ruled by my ability to reason. For example, I find myself unable believe in something I can cannot see or measure in a quantifiable way.

I apologize, this is not going the way I anticipated. I find myself unable to just spew out my understanding of certain subjects.

But if you are genuinely interested in my point of view, just ask a question, and I will do my best to answer.

Why would you ask if you are a bad person when you tell us how all Psychopaths are not murderous, and do in fact have feelings.

I feel as though this thread is one, to gain attention to yourself (Which i don't think psychopaths would really want) and two, which would be different from number one, you want us or someone specific to know being a psycopath isn't a bad thing. As if someone didn't like you or thought you were being a bad person due to the fact you are a psycopath. As if it's a rant, without bias or anger.

You're not a bad person. You already know this.

I believe I understand you. I 've always said that everyone has a psychopath inside......

We just know how and when to control it; I think its just that we admit that such a side exists......

Do you feel sympathy for others?

Remorse for things you have done wrong?

What is your current job position / situation?

Do you often lie about your past?

The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drownings frog's back.

"I could not help myself. It is my nature."

Honestly, if you were truly a psychopath you wouldn't apologize for not being clear. Unless, of course, you're trying to snow us, which is also a psychopathic trait. Psychopaths are not trustworthy. If you truly are one, and not just a troll, people, when they find this out, won't have anything to do with you.

Well, one answer to your statement is that I am intoxicated. Another answer is that there is a stigma perpetrated by the National media that all psychopaths are serial killers,(which is not the case).

Now, whether I am a bad person or not? Perhaps I should not have put that in the OP. I think being good or bad is irrelevant. I do not think I am either. I like to believe. I ( and other psychopaths) just are. Like nature, We just exist.. For good or ill.

Almost by definition, a psychopath cannot and will not understand their issues. This is exactly what makes them psychopathic... so I have to question your own diagnosis.

Secondly, defining good and bad as a personality, is not as easy as that. Much of it depends on what you do to others, not what you say. So, this sounds a lot like a bust for some attention... which may make you a lot of things that has not a lot to do with psychopathy.

Just one person's observation. Nothing more.

Who told you, that you are a psychopath, and what was their reasoning in saying so ?
Are you a self proclaimed psychopath ?

I cannot help my nature. I do not feel remorse or regret. But I do not go out of my way to prey on innocent people. Not that I think preying on people is a bad trait. But I just have no use for people in general.

Now yes, I interact with cashiers and what not, but they would be there whether I had business with them or not. But otherwise I would get along just fine never having any interaction with a human being.

most people that are considered 'normal' have more f'd up problems then your average pyschopath
i believe that pyschopaths have an ability to see the world for what it is but our system of language and society makes it impossible for them to express it

You do realize a psychopath would never call themselves one. By nature you wouldn't know you were so let me say im highly skeptical of your claim. I for one do know a psychopath and she has literally no concern for others at all. Her biggest problem in life her inability to show empathy shes lost lots of jobs. My running joke with her is to dye her hair blonde then people will just think shes self centered.

First,
never make a thread when you are intoxicated.
Second,
never make a thread when you are intoxicated.
Third,
If you are intoxicated, you are still reading.

I believe that what kind of person a psychopath becomes is largely determined by how they are brought up. It determines the difference between a fighter pilot and a serial killer. What are your thoughts? How were you raised, and how has it affected you?

No, I do not feel sympathy for others. Everyone has the chance to make their own decisions.

No, I feel no remorse. Anyone I have "wronged" allowed themselves to be in that position.

I am currently active duty military.

No, I do not lie about my past. I will not speak of certain things if they serve no purpose, but making up thing also serves no purpose.

You likely aren't a psychopath guy.
Or you are a bad person and you are lying.

There have been several posts like this, people that are enamored with the idea of being a psychopath and say/convince themselves they are one. Maybe it's due to the popularity of Dexter or how Psychopaths are commonly attributed with above average intelligence.

I will tell you though, psychopaths aren't actually that much more intelligent than the average person. It is the lack of emotion and constant barrage of manipulation attempts that make people victims of psychopaths and make psychopaths seem intelligent. Really it's mostly people being ill prepared for and trusting of someone that lacks emotions
