its heaps low in the sky but at this time would usually be half way up
i dont know if im going crazy but its weird as
anyone else noticed this?

It's just the rotation of the moon, mate.

It changes slightly every day.

Last night around this time it was about 45 degrees.

Tonight its about 30.

It's okay.

It was Blood Red here (Brisbane) tonight for approx an hour. I've seen it orange and yellow before but never such a deep and vivid red.

How would I know ? I don't live in Australia and I haven't seen the moon out in my area for at least three days and when I saw it, it just didn't look right.

The way mine looked out here, was like some strange glowing Orange/yellowish colour. For a moment I honestly wondered was it the moon. It was too low, if you looked really closely at it, it was like some kind of smoke around it. If only I had a camera to take a picture, I'd have posted it right here.

I thought it was clouds for a minute but then it went away.

The moon is always exactly where it should be. The day that it isn't, you can kiss your ass goodbye! LOL!

download stellarium

set your location

if the moon isnt in the same place as the software

please proceed to panic

if not, follow these guidelines before posting a thread like this

the moon orbits the earth, and the earth rotates on a tilted axis

hence why the moon rises and sets in different places in the sky

the sun does the same, but since its further away than the moon the effect is less noticeable

you should know that has more to do with our unclear atmosphere than the moon itself

as far as glows and moon hazes go

I know this, this site just effects you after a while, I wasn't thinking then. I was like my god, "Nibiru is coming and causing a shadow on our bloody moon." I was literally standing outside thinking Nibiru is causing a shadow on the moon. Crazy isn't it ?

nibiru

the question is what do you have to fear from a misstranslation taken from summerian lore and turned into a doomsday concept

maybe nibiru is just another religion

and one should always opt for a religion of love, not one of fear.

i fear not nibiru

The harvest moon is back around ? I nearly forgot about it, shows I haven't been paying any attention.

I don't even believe in Nibiru myself, you just hear it so much your mind just wanders there. A nibiru topic is posted everyday on some website, strange and disturbing all in one.

There is no cure for stupid. But there is for ignorance.
Can you make the grade and educate yourself with just a trifle of research on the dynamics of the Moon's motions?
It would sooo help you in your social encounters here and elsewhere.

Just to play along here, the full moon IS further north from an Oz perspective just now but there's nothing weird about it being the result of the moons orbit and earth's axial tilt this time of year. Most full moons here at 43 degrees south are clearly visible but this one didn't quite manage to get above the treetops even at maximum altitude (around midnight for a full moon).

It happens, it's quite normal and there's no need to be concerned about it. Anyone in Oz who's worried about it should just wait a couple of months for some relief
