Anyway the odd shadow covering Canada and part of the US to mee it seems to resemble like an impact zone and area of destruction? (asteroid collision in the middle of Canada with damage extended in part of the northern US? ... but well i haven't heard of any asteroid that could pose a threat yet ...)

Then it's safe to say that my interpretation of the cover was in no way valid. It will simply have been an odd cover image to have to commemorate the 10th year anniversary of 9/11.

Maybe I should email Time magazine and ask them about it.
