Are you saying that to steal from others is a valid survival strategy? You do know that more than likely you will have to kill them also? If this is what you are implying, you should come try that out my way. See what the results would be.

Just because you and I may not want to steal or kill, there are those out there who have planned on stealing and killing.

It is no less valid than storing supplies and learning techniques to survive.

If it comes down to me or you to make sure I or my family don't die from starvation, sorry, but I'm taking.

trick would be being on good terms with enough of your neighbors in a remote enough location and form a group as soon as things look bad or idealy before a colapse,as for perimiter security learning how to make a land mine(home made obiously)or other traps and containing or channeling(get them to go where u want them to) with pits dead falls or other distractions

just look into what the Vietnamese did to us during the war hell even the ancient Chinese had land mines of a extremely primitive nature or if your more scientifically minded make some primitive chemical weapons just make sure u have protective gear so that the gas or what ever concoction you have cooked up wont take you out if the wind changes

ideally you wont need any of these ideas as you will have a group of peope that all work together and hopefully work with neighboring groups for trade but i think alot of this will depend on the type nature and duration of what ever event is plaguing us at the time

The more of a remote location you have and the more people, the better your chances are going to be. I'm not going to reveal any of the plans that my neighbors and I have made, but your take on the situation is right on the subject.

People in the cities, large or small, will be the ones that will have the hardest time surviving. While my group and I probably have not thought of every scenario, we have went over many different types.

As far as booby traps around your perimeter, YouTube offers all kinds of ideas and even shows you how to make them. Anyone that is not prepared has nobody to blame other than themselves. I would rather be prepared and not need it, than not be prepared and need it.

The video creator seems to have a very good grasp of tactics.

I am not so sure that your average street gang or thug would have nearly that much skill.
Although you have to prepare for all the scenario's you can but you can not prepare for everything.

You may have excellent security and a rouge National guard group could roll up and fire a couple of rockets into your house........

Do the best you can, learn all you can and hope for the best.
