I was looking at the site below, for an update on the worlds earthquakes, and clicked on 'Hybrid' top right. From this you can see the seabed.

If you zoom in until 'Sendai' is depicted on the east coast of Japan, then take a straight line easterly from Sendai into the ocean, you will bump into a 'line' that travels along the seabed from North to South?? This appears to follow the contours of the sea bed, and must be massive based on the size of Japan? Is this a ruin or similar?

Does anyone know what it is?

I don't have the co-ordinates, but you can't miss it, and it's definately not to do with mapping.

When you have the place in view in your monitor press "Prt Scr" bottom on your keyboard

Open up paint that comes with windows..

Hod your "Ctrl" bottom on your keyboard and press "C" once..

Save the image as .jpg on your computer

upload it to ATS

Post the ATS link and it will show up here

Ah right...the dude who said they are shipping lanes is correct.
Look at any country...zoom in...look at the ports...follow the lines

They arent ON the sea bed...they are overlaid on to the image..they arent real lines

Edit: Heres a pic from south england...dover...notice the lines

yep ferry or shipping routes.

They are not geological features but lines drawn on a map. You can see them on the satellite image because it's an overlay that looks to be about 10% opacity

They aren't shipping lanes! They are on the ocean floor.

Zoom in so the ocean floor is depicted, then scan right from Sendai... The line is straight and easily visible.

Link - Copy and paste the whole link below - from 'http' to 'logo' This is what you can see.

maps.google.com...,155.22583&spn=4.776801,10.524902&t=h&z=7&key=ABQIAAAA9fyfiduO5BvparnRbQCKwhQ9itWJyV8LK5ituw6LGY4Q gguVGRQuEb3m_3SxsXDPsEPeLMbKn9Ty5w&mapclient=jsapi&oi=map_misc&ct=api_logo

Dude... Get Google earth and post a picture, people don't understand what it is you are seeing, cause you keep linking to a drawn map.

Another thing is that no matter where you look on the ocean floor there are tons of mysterius lines, they are every where

The link goes to america...........

The lines ARE shipping lanes.

Ive zoomed in on google maps....you can see the shipping lanes clearly marked as dashed lines.
The other lines are part of the port.

The lines are goof-ups in the Google mapping equipment. They are all over the place.

That is very interestng.... I followed it and it goes from Tokyo all the way until an little island whch is on border between Alaska(US) and Russia. Deffinitely artifficial because it takes 45 and 90 degrees on the way. Can be some kind of "subterral" viehcle/sub/car. I was trying to find elsewhere but til now i didnt. I will keep looking and will write back if i find anything. Deffinitely interesting!

I have been checking google and the oceanfloor + all the topographic maps of the ocean floor i could get, to try and make a story in here, but there is nothing really to compare.

I think many of the lines are cause, the mapping from satelites and sonar or whatever, is overlayed and thereby create anomalies. Some places are really detailed, and others sligtly or more washed out, so it creates lines.

Just look arround in google and you will find all kind of strange things, it's pretty cool.
