aliens won't come out until we, the human population, want them to come. This could be through some large night-time show or something....everyone standing outside of their houses with a light on or something...

haha...

maybe that would get their attention

I find offense at the snide remark against Phoenix. Phoenix is a wonderful laidback town. I have two cousins that live there, my dad and uncle used to live there, I lived there for a few months.

Anyway back on topic. Arizona, being a desert, is a very interesting place. The native Americans of that region have many tales and lore of space people or star people, which can also be found in thier art. Arizona is basically in the southwest, which is full of secret military bases and strange things. The constant clear skies and cloudless weather makes it easier to spot UFOs.

My cousins have seen things a few times, they didnt know what, but thought them interesting. I even saw strange things one night on Camelback mountain when i was 17.

What would Ets be flying about this area? Ets seem to be attracted to places where there is a heavy concentration of high military tech. They also seem very attracted to deserts, for what reason, who knows? the Apache have tales of the star people coming down, and of a type of battle in the spirit realms with the star people. Interesting.

id like to know whats going on though.

PNX says:

I believe it is just a sign. It is just the name of the city. Please search what the word Phoenix means except from the name of a city in arizona. I am very very sure about this, more sure than you can even imagine.

In mythology, the Phoenix is a bird which lives for a thousand years and never lays eggs. At the end of its life, it builds a huge pyre, flies into it, and is consumed. Then, a new Phoenix-bird arises from the ashes, and the cycle starts again.

Darrell Duppa, one of the founding fathers of the city, gave it that name, since it was built on the ruins of a Hohokam culture village, complete with remnants of thousand-year-old irrigation canals. Duppa believed that a new city would rise from the ashes of the ancient Hohokam settlement -- and it did. Phoenix is the fifth largest city in the United States following New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston.

Para says:

I lived down there for a little while about 1/2 mile away from the Indian reservation in the south part of town, and I saw flares being dropped on at least two occasions behind the mountains out to the west. I thought they were UFOs at first but after watching them for a while, I came to the conclusion that they were flares.

If youre talking about aircraft over the White Tank Mountains, youre right. Thats one of the few places where the AZ ANG (facility at McDowell and about 52nd Street) can fly their helicopters. You wouldnt see anything to the South (Estrella Mountains) because thats smack-dab in the middle of the approach path to Sky Harbor International Airport.

One thing that I thought was strange was a Naval base I saw about 10-20 miles south of town one day.

I am not familiar with any Navy base, and I have been driving around PHX for twenty-five years, When you say south of town are you talking about Ahwatukee or further south near Firebird Lake? You do mean on the other side of the Estrellas, right? Its mostly casinos down there nowadays.

I honestly cant remember exactly where it was, but it was at least 10-20 miles south of Awahtukee, past the border of town (or at least the Indian reservation around I-10/Pecos). I dont remember what we were doing that day, but I think we just out looking at abandoned buildings and such in the desert. We were going south and saw a sign that said So-and-So Naval Base (Station?). Note that I didnt the base itself, just the huge sign and a road leading off into the distance. I mentally tagged it so we could come back later, but I forgot what road it was on and we could never find it again. Sorry if that is a bit vague, but I was only down there for a few months and didnt think much of it at the time.

As for the flares, I lived around I-10 and Chandler. The mountains Im talking about were the one you could see if you took the Pecos exit and looked due west (ahead). I cant remember what they were called, but Ill get a map out and try to figure it out.

Para, you could've been looking at the San Tan mountains. That being the case, there is an ANG gunnery range in the vicinity and I have seen some flashes and lights there on occasion that could've been flares (I live in Mesa almost to the Pinal County Line).

Also, the San Tan Mountains is one of the locations where the Boeing Apache Longbow plant vectors its aircraft for their acceptance test flights, although I don't think the Army (as opposed to the ANG) does any ordnance or ASE testing there.

Actually there is a small Naval Satellite monitoring post just north of the town of Maricopa. I live down there and my wife and I have seen some really strange yellow lights that are definetly not flares. They seem to take sharp turns and kind of dance around the sky and after a few minutes just disappear. We've never been able to get pictures though.

Had another update from Rob (worldblend).. more lights and things.

Do these lights looks familiar to any Phoenix residents?

llo..... The following is a brief update on the investigation into the sightings and events in Phoenix. Some progress has been made as to the what and where, but the who, how and why still remain a mystery.

We had noticed a pattern in various images that we have had some success modeling and that model happened to fit the light configuration of the best two videos from the June 14th event.

The appearance on Sept. 3rd seems to rule out any flare theories.
www.worldblend.net...

In addition, the site we have focused on has produced some interesting and potentially valuable (scientifically) data from video and stills.

www.worldblend.net...
I will be setting up an ftp site for people interested in doing some independent research on this phenomenon. While you may get an idea as to the strangeness of these events viaInternet media, I must say the ability to see the video uncompressed on a TV is the only way to appreciate what is going on here locally. If you wish to have access to this data, just let me know via email and I will send instructions to you onwhere andhow to access it.
Regards,
Rob Kritkausky
