Deletion of Thread About Explosions in Central NJ 09-10-2011???

Mods, why was this thread delete? I'm getting a 404 page when I try to access it... TG

Because sometimes, you come across FAIL.

My guess would be because there was nothing factual to back it up? I mean after x amount of minutes and nothing reported in the news then it didn't happen or it was nothing of importance.

then it should have been relegated to the HOAX forum in my opinion. I'm surprised it was removed. I didn't find the claims outlandish at all. I've heard weird explosions before, granted not that many at once.

Well the OP seems pretty genuine to me but it's ultimately up to the mods to decide I suppose.

That thought did cross my mind as well, I was actually sitting here before it got deleted thinking it was only a matter of time before it was tossed in there. Either way I think we are safe from the boogy man tonight, tomarrows another day though.

I must admit - I'm curious too - because although I believe the OP was wrong and somewhat alarmist he was posting in GOOD FAITH. He heard explosions - I tracked down what was probably the source of those explosions and posted it. Case solved. But that doesn't mean there was anything wrong with the OP's assertion - he did hear explosions in NYC but they were not terrorist related.

In fact right now there are probably scores of people looking for the answer to what it is they were hearing in NYC - and ATS would have been first to put the record straight.

Very weird and very questionable decision by ATS to completely remove the thread.
