They call themselves a church? Thats a laugh. Churches are for christians, not cultists. Its just like Jesus said, in the last days people will turn to soothesayers who will tell them whatever myths or stories their itching ears want to hear. The only thing that guy is, is a shaman of bootie call, what a tool.

Next thing you know there will be a cult to spring up because someone's bowl of cheerios had a picture of Elvis Presley's face in it. Oh lets not forget those people who made a grilled cheese and worshipped it because it had the face of Jesus in it.

Temple prostitutes have been around much longer than, say, Christianity. Just saying.......
In ancient times people claimed to have been brought closer to the creator through the use of temple prostitutes, while I have heard Christians say such things as, Oh, there's nothing better than joining with one's spouse to become as close to God as possible here in the flesh. Some sort of nonsense like that.

Someone always has to ruin things for everyone else. First of all, 'church' doesn't fit with 'shaman and healer'. Jesus was a healer. Shaman's are not synonymous with 'church' and now the word 'shaman' has been tarred and feathered. This all makes me sick. Some sickos that were dumb enough to 'play around' and mess up the real energy for people who truly heal, love and believe.

So I don't think it's about the 1st Amendment in this case, any more than it was for Warren Jeffs. If you break the law, you get arrested. Doesn't matter if you claim you're doing it for "religious reasons" or personal reasons or whatever.

Warren Jeffs was much different, in that he victimized children. Much like many other churches, but those ones get away with it and the offenders are just moved to another church. The fact that we have laws against two fully consenting adults engaging in whatever activities they choose with each other, is a glaring testament to our freedom in the good ole USA. It's almost funny, if it wasn't true. What they were doing is perfectly legal, until money comes into it? It's lunacy that we allow ourselves to be subjected to such completely ridiculous, unconstitutional laws.

Yeah, too bad there's hardly any true Christians left. So much wasted space in all those churches.

Assuming there was a god, how would anyone obtain minister credentials? And if the evidence shows that there is no such thing, all credentials -- no matter the source -- are equally "made up."

Jesus said "you shall know them by the fruits of their labors", meaning you can tell a real christian from a psuedo-christian by their works and if they follow Jesus' teachings and he also said there would be false "prophets" teaching lies and claiming to do his will and he will say to them "depart from me you workers of iniquity for i never knew you".

Not all christians are called to do Christ's work. Some are born to follow, while others are born to lead and to do his work. Theres nothing wrong with going to church and worshipping, but you need to do more than that to grow spiritually. To grow spiritually you have to learn to put the Lord's will ahead of yours, feed the poor, clothe the needy, visit the sick and dying and those imprisoned, and if a man needs a shirt give him the shirt off your back.

And probably not cheer the execution of over 200 people, nor support wars for vengeance, without a care (or even an acceptance of) how many innocents die as long as the bad guys are killed too. Business is GOOD for the 'false prophets' you speak of...

They will get their due on the Day of Judgement. Just because you "claim" to be a christian does not mean you are, just like how those muslim radicals claim to be muslim yet they disobey God's commandment "thou shalt not murder" and obey Mohammed's "convert or kill" doctrine So tell me who is right, God or Mohammed? I think i'll take God over a man anyday. Jesus said there would be people claiming to be his but that they would not be and that we would know them by the fruits of their labors, meaning their actions.
