Just so you know, that Constitution quote by Mr. Paul is wrong.

I find it funny when people display things like that with pride when it's a complete fallicy.

Why is it enough? What's wrong with 20, 30 or even 100 years of fear?

Cold war lasted 40 years. Why not "War on Terror"?

The Official Story says that radical "Islamicists" attacked us on 9-11,
But then this government turns it's full Inter/CounterIntel Security upon the American citizens? Making old white guys with cancer in wheelchairs get up, at security checkpoints, and molesting them and little blonde children, and Miss America?

WHAT THE F*CK???

What about Timothy McVeigh? He wasn't an Islamist. Are you saying you would OK with terrorism if those blowing up are white guys in a wheel chair with or without cancer and perhaps using unsuspecting little blonde children or Miss America to carry their bombs? Well, you may be OK, but the government is not. It will protect you (or perhaps others from you) whether you want it or not.

If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear. Only potential terrorists complain about these checks and some imagined infringement of their privacy or rights. After all, to board a commercial airliner is not a right, you have to comply with whatever restrictions are imposed. You don't like the restrictions, don't board the flight. Drive, take a bus/train or walk! Of course, the airport and flight security can be left to "free market" and they may still end up with the exact same restrictions. If you believe in that vote Ron Paul in 2012 and all of these, at least by government agencies, will vanish. You may end up with many flights being hijacked and flown into buildings, but those impacted can sue the airlines for damages.

And last but not least, "It is America, love it or leave it"

If you are not an American, substitute America with the name of your country and it should hold fine.

It was always meant to be turned around to end up being the White mans fault. One of us.
Little by little they incorporated Whites into the equation in order to subdue the entire country.
This way everyones suspect.
This was the game plan all along. This is why grandpa is a suspect as much as Abdul.
. Rather ingenius.

When the USSR folded we found out people were eating their shoes instead it being a superpower. Now they're not even pretending these "terrorists" are powerful.

The USSR's attempt to remain a super power is what forced the people to eat their shoes.

But not much power is needed for terrorism. It appears the terrorists of 9/11 needed little more than money to train to fly planes, to purchase flight tickets and boxcutters and willingness to die. They didn't even need a bomb. America is hated for her freedoms. So you can't control that part. There are crazies willing to die for all kinds of reasons. So you can't control that their. So people of the "free world" need to live in fear of these terrorists striking any day, anywhere and in any form. Should all be grateful there is a government that takes care of you. Even if you are ungrateful, you will still be taken care of. Just remain scared, that's all that is being asked of you

Like a previous poster said. Wow. Just wow. I don't know if I should dignify this with a response.

I am an American US born citizen with a -real- birth certificate, from a few generations of US born citizens with
-real- birth certificates.

I don't fly. I don't want an Illuminati controlled drone doing things to me that only a husband should do to me, after a night out at the bar.

Thank you. I tend to have that effect on people

See, you already found a solution. So the others who fly either don't mind what is done to them or deem the inconvenience worth the reduced risk. It is all a matter of personal choice, you see.

10 years of fear is enough...but keep in mind America is a nation where 1/3 to 1/2 of the population still hasn't recovered from the Red Scare/Cold War.

Bingo! I don't mean to disprespect the commies, but if they can continue to scare that proportion of the population two decades after they ceased to exist, the terrorists sure deserve to continue to scare people while they haven't yet been declared to have ceased to exist.

yep all that regulation sure has stopped crime and murder and robery.

its wrong and we all know it.

just like regulation hasnt eliminated terrorism

Just like condoms on cucumbers didnt stop teen pregnancies.

You mean apart from the FACT that they did? 86% of the reduction in teen pregnancies can be directly linked to better contraception. But who cares about facts, right?

Only religious nutjobs would argue condoms aren't helping

This should be the calling for every American as we remember the 10th anniversary of that terrible day. As the ATS poll results showed, regardless of what your position is to the idea of a 9/11 conspiracy, it is universally accepted that day set in motion a radical move to a police state. It is time we as Americans pushed back on these increasing violations of our civil rights.

Yes, and the trillions of dollars budgeted and non-budgeted over the last 10 years have been used to surveil Americans using all manner of techniques such as fusion centers, hundreds of security sub-contractors and almost a million employees trampling all over the Constitution in the name of 'safety'. 9/11 was certainly a tragic event, but we lose approximately 100,000 people every year to one form of accidents or another. The terrorists accomplished their goal of instilling terror and fear into the American people. They don't really need to pull off another event for that reason, although they might at some point, and I'm convinced that no amount of 'security' will stop them. The byproducts of 9/11 being the creation of DHS and two wars along with the mortgage debacle is what has created the present debt crisis.
