Erm, no they don't, as a right-handed gay man I can tell you that we do most significant things with the right hand, if we are right-handed.
That's where the skill of Muslim people amazes me, because they clean themselves in the toilet with a bottle of water and their left hand.
I also use water, but to learn that must probably be done from a young age.
Still today in most cultures, if you offer the left hand in greeting it can be read as strange to downright rude.
In cultures that eat with their hands, you could be offensive by eating with your left hand.
And then there's the whole rigmarole around setting the table with forks and knives in Western culture when the lefties are coming for dinner.
